Quick service with a smile, but EXPENSIVE. Ancira Nissan is a slick, polished, well-appointed and modern "big box" dealership. Walk in and you'll instantly be impressed by the modern slick look Ancira Nissan is a slick, polished, well-appointed and modern "big box" dealership. Walk in and you'll instantly be impressed by the modern slick look of the place — leather sofas and chairs, fancy chrome and plastic accents, neon and LED lighting, hardwood flooring, flat screen displays, glass divider walls, fancy coffee maker, those ubiquitous self-serving glass dealer "awards" and plaques, faux wood desks, polished concrete flooring in the service bay, etc. All of these "features" are designed to give you the impression of success and style. And while they're cool and all, they come at a hefty price. Expect to pay top-of-market prices for parts and service — as in shop rates that are upwards of twice what you'd pay in smaller markets, and 30-90% markups on wholesale parts prices. And, like most large dealership service departments, you'll never actually talk to a mechanic — they are shielded behind the firewall of your service rep who is your primary point of contact. The reps do their job adequately and with little fuss: They efficiently get you checked in, put you in a rental or direct you to the coffee and donuts, call you with the "bad news" when your vehicle is ready, and then interpret the final service report (i.e.: read it out loud to you) before politely ushering you to the cashier to collect your payment. All very predictable and systematic. In the end, it's a service department that gets the job done, but commands a steep price for all of the customer "perks" and location. Ancira Nissan Service is designed to cater to customers who are ignorant about the mechanical workings of their vehicle and therefore won't question any of the mechanic's findings and will pay top dollar simply for peace of mind. You have to trust that you aren't getting ripped off or oversold. However, this is a business, and most people know by now that dealerships make their biggest margins on service and not vehicle sales. When you are told by the dealership that your third brake light will need to be replaced to the tune of $450, but then you look online and find that you can do it for less than $150, you have to just start scratching your head.
