Buying my first new car, a 2025 Kia K4, from Andy Mohr Kia in Avon, Indiana, was a milestone I worked hard for—rebuilding my finances and credit to make it happen. But what started as excitement turned in Kia in Avon, Indiana, was a milestone I worked hard for—rebuilding my finances and credit to make it happen. But what started as excitement turned into a nightmare of indifference, privacy violations, and outright dismissal that cost me a family relationship and my faith in the dealership. On August 19, 2025, I brought my K4 in for routine maintenance. By August 27, I noticed a deep scratch on the center console after adjusting the driver’s seat—something I’d have seen during my weekly washes if it existed before. I reported it immediately with photos and voicemails to service advisor Jacob Eberle. He denied it, claiming “footage” showed nothing, but refused to share it when I asked. No empathy, just deflection. Escalating to General Manager Joe Kapitan on September 5, he called with a curt, frustrated tone, admitting a “server issue” with the footage but agreeing on September 10 to cover the repair cost—no date given. But then he shared my emails with my aunt, an employee there, sparking a devastating call where she accused me of trying to get her fired. Ten minutes later, Jacob emailed his “confirmation,” ignoring my concerns entirely. The privacy breach shattered our bond—she hasn’t responded to my apologies, and the pain is far worse than any scratch. Jacob’s later reply was a lazy copy-paste, swapping “Wednesday” to “Monday” drop-off without a word of reassurance. The Monday schedule clashed with my third-shift hours, and they refused observation or a live feed. On September 30, Kapitan emailed refusing all help, contradicting his word. Even Eric’s October 14 call, offering a $300 check or repair, felt like a brush-off—no acknowledgment of the family fallout or breach, just a quick payout to move on. Brad Todd’s October 16 outreach carried the same vibe: preconceived skepticism, as if my story was already dismissed. No one grasped the human cost; it was all sales smiles until the contract signed, then silence. Andy Mohr Kia, you’ve left me regretting my purchase and nursing a family wound money can’t heal. I’ll service elsewhere and trade soon, but this betrayal of trust is unforgettable. Buyer beware—once you’re in, you’re out. More
