My car has been leaking oil from its drain pan, near the drain pan plug. I learned that this is a very common problem for oil drain pan with part number 21510-2G500. and NTSHA opened an investigation on the drain pan plug. I learned that this is a very common problem for oil drain pan with part number 21510-2G500. and NTSHA opened an investigation on this issues in fall 2022. I took my car to Antwerpen with the expectation that they would replace the defective oil pan under the warranty. However, to my surprise, the dealer attributed the issue to an impact on the oil pan, which had never occurred. When I reached out to Hyundai Motor America, the case manager was unresponsive and did not offer any assistance in resolving the matter. My car remained in the workshop for over three weeks, but unfortunately, no solution was found to the issue. With no other option left, I had to pay $650.72 to repair and retrieve my car. The dealership was going to to charge me $200 for diagnostic fees, unless I authorize the repair. I currently possess the faulty oil pan, which exhibits no signs of any dents or impact. Instead, it clearly displays the same hairline crack as the ones identified in the NHTSA investigation. More
No pushy. Very friendly service. Honest. Would allow us to leave dealership to look at other vehicles and think about the car we did end up buying. Very friendly service. Honest. Would allow us to leave dealership to look at other vehicles and think about the car we did end up buying. More
