They do not negotiate on their cars, and claim that they are saving you the hassle. They also claim that they don't get commission, however if they don't make commission, then why did they seem very partic are saving you the hassle. They also claim that they don't get commission, however if they don't make commission, then why did they seem very particular on who helps you? Also our sales person actually thought out loud to himself at one point when we tried negotiating price. He said kind mumbling something to the effect of, "and Kevin also helped," referring to another sales person that helped us before Ryan could. They may not call it a commission, and perhaps they make a reasonable base rate, but I'm sure that they make some kind of bonus based off how much profit they make for the dealership. When I was attempting to negotiate with our sales person, I misspoke at one point, and said a price that was only $500 under the sticker price. The sales person perked up and repeated that price, that's when I realized I misspoke, and corrected myself, but it seemed as if he would have given it to me at this price, though that wouldn't have been a deal at all. He did let me know that if a vehicle sits on the lot 50 days, they drop the price $500, and if it sits 100 days they drop it $1000. I don't know that this is actually reflected on the sticker, or if this is their negotiating leeway. Based on the auto check report that he gave me, the car had been on the lot for 66 days. Perhaps that is why he lit up when I misspoke the price that was $500 below sticker. Perhaps it was because the car had been on the lot at least 50 days and they were willing to go down $500 in price. Though the sales people were very friendly, I did not end up buying the vehicle. I was out looking for a deal, and they weren't willing to give it to me even though I would have bought the car in an instant if the price was right. More
