I appreciated that everyone I interacted with wore masks and were very pleasant and efficient. I have bought cars from this dealership before and was pleased with the sale and the service. I scheduled this oil change and tire rotation and arrived a little before my appointment. They finished working on the Insight quickly. I will return to Appletree for service. More
$1600 AC repair failed before 2 years I previously reviewed Apple Tree Honda and have now reviewed at all possible sites, have contacted the BBB and will seek representation if necessary. I previously reviewed Apple Tree Honda and have now reviewed at all possible sites, have contacted the BBB and will seek representation if necessary. Two years ago, June 2018, I took my 2007 CRV in for AC repairs. I met with the service rep, Lance and I discussed options. As my car was older, I researched and learned the replaced AC system should last 8-10 years. We settled on repairing/replacing the system for $1600. The system failed in January 2020. It was cool weather so I went in May to see if a local Honda certified mechanic could check. He indicated since it was recently repaired he could likely add Freon to resolve for $75.00. After checking the car he determined the entire system needed to be replaced. I indicated this was done less than two years ago. He reviewed the service record and stated the A/C kit had not been included and this would cause premature failure. He offered to speak with Appletree to work something out as I am now 4 1/2 hours away... My service rep would not call him and then would not return calls to me after the first. I called the Service Manager. He indicated he was informed a week ago but did not follow through. He then raised his voice over me the entire time I was speaking, stating repeatedly Appletree does not warranty work after 12 months. I indicated this was not a warranty issue. It was an issue they did not include the necessary parts. He continued to yell over me. I requested the GM. I called, received his voicemail, and he has never returned my call. I emailed Honda America and was advised the dealerships are privately owned and all they could do was provide training. I have contacted the BBB who have replied twice (at each level of escalation) Appletree is declining to correct, stating they advised my they were using non-Honda parts. I have replied that I am not a mechanic, that my service rep recommended these parts to save money, that I had gone to a Honda certified mechanic about this situation and have been advised one of the necessary parts was not included in the repair. I have documentation for the research, the repairs, the replies from Honda, the replies from Appletree through the BBB, and such. More
(This was awhile ago- hope things have changed), but it needs to be said. They denied to repair a legit recall item which then put my pregnant wife in danger of her vehicle lighting on fire. Absolute wors needs to be said. They denied to repair a legit recall item which then put my pregnant wife in danger of her vehicle lighting on fire. Absolute worst experience, Apple Tree Honda's service department was inhumane, brought lies, The recall item could cause smoke and then could next potentially light the car on fire. The car had already started to smoke, the next potential thing to happen was for the car to light on fire, so I even towed the car there to get it worked on. They held onto the car for so long just to eventually lie to us and say that it is not a recall item. We know that it was a real recall item because directly after picking it up we drove to another Honda dealer an hour away, Forrest City Honda and without skipping a beat or any question they took it and fixed it at no cost as Honda asked their dealers to do. I would give them a negative 5 if I could since they put my pregnant wife in danger. I imagine that they did this because they would make more money off repairing over priced repairs instead of what Honda would pay them to fix the recall. Instead they lied and tried to sent my pregnant wife out in a vehicle that could at any moment light on fire. What would you do if someone, anyone did that to you or your family, anyone in your family? Not sure if I have ever left a bad review, but there it is. More
Very poor and dangerous lack of service I went in for service on my 2016 Honda HRV. This maintenance included oil, transmission, brake, and fuel induction services. As well as I had a coup I went in for service on my 2016 Honda HRV. This maintenance included oil, transmission, brake, and fuel induction services. As well as I had a couple other issues that I explained that I was hearing a rattle coming from the front of the car when I hit bumps. Also the steering was sticking, and the steering wheel was not returning. And there was also loud sound coming from when you turned the wheel to the right or the left from center even sitting still in the car. All of which I knew something was seriously wrong and was not normal. I had recently had to have new struts put on my car that were not from Honda. But were the best aftermarket struts that were available from O'Reily's. After waiting at least a couple hours or more without an update on the status of my car, I finally had to go and ask the service advisor what was going on. Come to find out the, the technician was only focused on the struts. It is my belief that they didn't get the job, and wanted to rip me off for 907$ to re-replace struts that were perfectly fine and were installed correctly by the garage that I had to have them done at while out of town when my grandmother was dying of cancer. I did not believe them for one second and made a few phone calls to find out that I was being mislead. After speaking with not 1, not 2, but 3 different ASE techs about my issues, they confirmed their were further problems. I got back from work the following week, and stopped by another garage to have them take a drive and look at the car. After he drove the car and listened to the car and the issues described (something the dealership didn't even bother to do), he put it on the rack. And about 2 minutes later he was able to find out what the real issue was. And that issue was my inner tie-rod ends. The front wheels on the car had about an inch or more of play on either side. Any tech that knew what he was doing and actually paid attention to what I had described would have been able to discover the problem. This was causing my steering issues, noise/rattle, etc. Not to mention the fact that the Apple Tree Technician should have never let my vehicle leave the service department, due to the seriousness of the tie-rod end issues. I had a work trip that I had to drive 10 hours round trip that following week after my vehicle was serviced. They not only put my vehicle at risk, THEY PUT MY LIFE AT RISK!!! This is completely unnacceptable, and they should not be allowed to be in operation if they are just going to non-chalantly put someone's life at risk on the road, just so they can make more money and take advantage of innocent people. I could have died on the road not being able to control the steering had one of those tie-rod ends snapped or came loose. I will be filing an official complaint with Honda Corporate, as well as a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding this. I even called and left a message for the Apple Tree Honda Service Manager to call me back to discuss options, and how we are going to come to an acceptable resolution. Though I am not sure how you can come to an acceptable resolution when you played russian roulette with my life!!! At the very least, Apple Tree owes me a complete refund for all of the maintenance, time, aggravation, and diagnostic fees paid for sitting around the dealership for almost 6 hours in total waiting on them to not even fix the serious issues. It's pitiful and a disgrace. I will never give my business to them in any way. I will additionally go out of my way to ensure that everyone I know, and everyone locally knows what kind of business they are and how they treat their customers. Finally I would like to mention I also received a rude phone call from my service advisor after I filled out a negative survey based on my experience, and information that I found out after that I left. He had no right to tell me not to come back and ask for him, and the surveys are on them only. No, there are other questions in there that do not pertain to the service advisor. I will be speaking to his manager as well for that unacceptable behavior. I await your prompt and proper response, as well as my refund and an apology like you've never been prepared to give before. I have been in contact with Bill Caesar and other representatives via facebook messenger, emails, texts, and phone calls for the past 3 days to come look at a car I was interested in buying. I had a scheduled time to come this afternoon, OUT OF STATE BY THE WAY. Jamie, a sales manager, even confirmed my appointment this morning. I called just hours before heading there to ask a few more questions & was told the car had already been sold. No one even notified me about this!!! If I weren’t to have called, my family and myself would have driven all the way there for no reason! I understand cars will be sold at first come first serve, but no one even notified me about this! Luckily, Savannah was very helpful with trying to find another similar car, but unfortunately the one I had my hopes set on was sold. She was also the one who let me know the car was sold. Thanks Savannah for being helpful, but I will make sure to avoid business with this place in the future. More

I called and told the girl what was wrong and set up a service appointment. When I arrived for my appointment the service writer greeted me and explained that they did not have the diagnostic equipment for my car and that I would need to go to the Jeep dealership. I was furious. I had a friend on her day off follow me from Black Mountain over there for nothing. He suggested maybe I could just show up at the Jeep dealership and they would take me in. Ya right. My appointment is a week and a half away. I have an out of town trip and wanted it fixed before I left. Not happening. Thanks for nothing Appletree. My first experience with their service department. They should have called me when they realized they weren't going to be able to fix it. Totally inconsiderate. More

I smelled something burning every time we drove it and moisture was inside one of my headlights. So, I chose to take it to Apple Tree because the car was still under warranty. The service advisor would not listen to me or believe what I said. Then my husband had to explain. I had to call back that day to see if it was ready. They said yes but it wasn't. I had to come back in the next day for the headlight replacement which they would take 30 minutes. 2 hours later I went looking for my service advisor and they had to get it from the lower lot. Two days later my oil light comes on which is the area they repaired but didn't check to see if I needed an oil change. They actually replaced the oil filter which is what was leaking and causing the smell but didn't change the oil or even look to see if it needed to be changed. Then Mark, the service advisor made excuses and the problem was never resolved. I will never go back there again and if you have a Honda I would think about going to another dealership for warranty work. I paid $132 for a $7.36 part (oil filter) and now have to get an oil change! More

Do not do business with Apple Tree Honda Acura!!! Over the last several years, my husband and I have bought 3 vehicles from Apple Tree Honda, including a pre-owned Honda Acura. We have had nothing but Over the last several years, my husband and I have bought 3 vehicles from Apple Tree Honda, including a pre-owned Honda Acura. We have had nothing but bad experiences with the Acura people at Apple Tree. They are incredibly arrogant. Just today, I called them to ask about the extended warranty that we purchased when we bought the Acura. We are currently out of town having work done to the Acura, and I don’t have the warranty paperwork with me. When I called Apple Tree to inquire about the warranty, I was first told we had never bought a warranty. When I pressed the issue, the “service advisor” became curt and proceeded to talk to me as if I were being a total pain in the xxx. We did indeed purchase a warranty and after making subsequent phone calls, I found out that the warranty is still active. This is not the first time we have been met with arrogance and rudeness from Apple Tree Acura. Shortly after we bought the Acura a few years ago, we had a bad problem with the oil pan. When my husband and I sat down to talk to the Acura service people, they challenged us and berated us right there in their service department. We had never experienced that before when dealing with a car dealership. The total disregard of trying to work with us and explain things to us was appalling and frightening. DO NOT DEAL WITH APPLE TREE HONDA ACURA!!! More
Don’t take your vehicle to Apple Tree Honda!! I brought my 2008 CRV in for airbag recall repair. Travel time for me to get there from where I live is 45mins one way but Apple Tree Honda was the closest dealership so that’s where I went. I have an infant I had to bring along and my husband had to follow me so my car could be dropped off for the day. Appointment time was for 9:30 am. At 3:30pm I received a call from the service desk that my car was ready for pickup. We loaded up again and arrived at 4:15. 3hrs total driving time spent back and forth to drop of and pickup and a whole lot of gas for both vehicles. When I arrived at the service dept my car was parked outside and I immediately noticed that the rear passenger door was ajar?! Seemed strange but I went ahead inside to get my keys. The person helping me read some other findings from the service inspection including my door fob not working, which I said that was odd since it worked when I dropped it off, and other minor mechanical issues they were suggesting I had done. I asked about the key fob replacement and I was advised that it would have to be replaced at about $100 and then programmed at an additional cost of $139 I declined. So I signed paperwork and left the building and got right in my car by means of my working key fob. I guess they just wanted to sell me a new one? Once in my vehicle I noticed that all of my personal belongings we strewn all over the back seat. Then I noticed an inch long and two inch wide rip in my rear leather seat!!! I was shocked and disturbed by what I was seeing! I had not even left my parking spot yet so I jumped out of my car and ran back to the same service attendant who had checked me out 5mins ago telling him there’s a rip in my leather seat!! He followed me back out to my car where I showed him the rip. He said he would be right back with the service manager. I waited by my car absolutely disappointed and shocked that this was happening. Service manager James King comes out and looks at the hole in my leather seat and immediately says that the rip had not occurred during my service today. I said that it most definitely did!! He continued to deny any wrong doing by the service technician. He stated that he could tell that it wasn’t a freshly made rip, which completely angered me, and he said that he was done here. And walked away!! I called the police. A deputy came and took pictures and a statement from me all while my car was still sitting in the same place right beside the service station facing the huge glass windows. No one from Apple Tree Honda even attempted to find resolution. Someone there either is lying about what they did to my car or isn’t telling the truth about what happened. My insurance is now involved. I am shouting this out to anyone considering taking a vehicle to Apple Tree Honda DON’T!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you absolutely have to go there the I highly advise to take pictures of exterior and interior prior to leaving you vehicle in their care. More
