Ed Gordon is a great salesman, who treated us as intelligent people. No bologna, just the facts about the Jeep I wanted. First time buying a jeep he showed me everything, set the radio settings for me. Gave us his cell if we had questions or concerns. It was an easy experience and I have a beautiful white 2 door Wrangler. No pressure, reassured and corrected any information we had. I feel very confident and happy with our purchase. I had running boards put on and the service people were excellant. They worked Christmas Eve! Eddie in the financing that handled the bill of sale, was great too. I really can't say enough positive things about this purchase!

Hello Mr. & Mrs. Davidson, We are very sympathetic to your situation and very sorry for the angst this is causing you. Your new vehicle was delivered to you with zero paint defects at time of delivery. The vehicle was inspected at time of shipping, time of delivery to the dealership, time of PDI preparation, time of detail and time of delivery to you. No damage was ever noted by any of the persons involved, including yourselves. When you contacted us six months after purchase, we had recently closed our Body Shop temporarily in order to overhaul the operation. We renovated our facility, hired new staff and ensured our processes and work performed met the highest standards. When we reopened the Body Shop and viewed your vehicle we were horrified as to the condition of the paint on the rear bumper, tailgate and front bumper of your vehicle. We had no explanation for the paint condition, so we immediately agreed to repair the vehicle at no cost to you. We placed you in a rental vehicle at no charge while the repairs were being completed. You requested that we replace the silver emblems on your vehicle with the "blacked out" emblems offered on the higher trim levels, and we did this at no charge as well to show good faith. When you retrieved your vehicle after repairs were completed, you were happy with the results and noted no deficiencies. When you contacted us several weeks ago with a new paint complaint, Our Body Shop Manager immediately had you bring the vehicle in so he could view it. He noted slight cracking in the paint on the rear hatch only and set an appointment for you to drop the vehicle off for paint repairs. We secured another rental vehicle for you, at no charge, to drive while we were repairing the vehicle and set an appointment several weeks forward. When the vehicle arrived for the appointment the paint was in noticeably worse condition than when it was viewed earlier. (Mrs. Davidson echoed this observation when she retrieved the vehicle yesterday.) We now were able to clearly observe 3 "thermal" lines across the rear tailgate that clearly show exposure to excessive heat. The damage was so pronounced that we could see actual melting of the plastic within the left rear tail light as well as melting of the new emblems that we had applied during the initial repair. We consulted with numerous service and Body Shop employees about this case to get all opinions and speculate as to what was causing the damage to your vehicle. We even attempted to contact persons outside of the dealership to get their opinions. The final decision was unanimous: the vehicle was exposed to severe heat and the damage was caused by the actual melting of the rear of the vehicle. It should be noted the the front of the vehicle that was repaired at the same time as the rear was still in perfect condition, and the same paint and materials were utilized on both. We contacted you and shared the disappointing news that the damage to the vehicle was not a result of a failure by the vehicle manufacturer or dealership, and suggested you consider contacting your auto insurance company to file a claim, as that is how damage claims to vehicles are traditionally handled. When Mrs. Davidson arrived to retrieve the vehicle she observed, as you noted, that several of us were still discussing the vehicle and the damage and speculating what could have caused it in order to assist you in preventing further damage. As we told you on the telephone and in person, we are happy to assist you in repairs and will even discount our prices as much as we are able to assist you in this unfortunate situation. We apologize that you are having to deal with this and encourage you to identify what is damaging the vehicle to prevent any further damages prior to repairing it.
