Pleasant experience I was dreading going to a car dealership to start the search for a new car, as it's been 14 years since the last time I did so, and I had no one to go I was dreading going to a car dealership to start the search for a new car, as it's been 14 years since the last time I did so, and I had no one to go with me. But from the moment I walked into Atlantic Honda (which I chose over other Honda dealers closer to me because I knew I wanted to look at the CR-V and I knew that $0 down lease offers on the 2016 models), the experience was nothing but pleasant. I spent 3 hours there on the first day, going over everything with Jason Yang, from the value of my trade-in, to the various payment options, etc. There was no "hard sell" or pressure of any kind, and I never felt condescended to in any way. At the end of that first visit, I left a small deposit to hold the car for a week and said I'd be in touch, leaving with a smile on my face, but wanting to just price around a bit. The next day I went to the dealership nearest my home and had the exact opposite experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt condescended to and pressured. The saleswoman immediately tried to turn me off to Atlantic Honda and made me feel really awful. Two days ago, I returned to Atlantic Honda and Jason Yang. I met with David Shapiro, the finance guy, and that experience was also pleasant, and I left there thrilled with my new car. More
