Redemption at its finest! I, like most people, used to dread walking into dealerships. The overall uneasy feeling you get, and the guard you have to put up just made it an unpleasant experience. All that ended this past Thursday when I walked in to Atlantic Toyota in West Islip and met Joe Mankuski & Mike Farina. I was on a bit of a time crunch, but knew what I wanted. We had a quick, no pressure chat and agreed to meet the following day. Joe came in and spent the majority of his day off taking care of things to make sure my lease arrangement went smoothly. There was no playing games back and forth with the numbers, the first number was exactly what I was looking for, and off we went. I was able to get in to work for a majority of the day while all the paperwork was processed. I wasn’t held hostage on site like places I’ve been in the past. In total, including a test drive and some small talk, I spent less than 2.5 hours at the dealership. Their coffee bar kept me well perkolated, and full of chocolate cookies and the rest of the staff there was friendly and in great spirits.
