Ive been an Atlantic Toyota customer for 15 years.I always come back to the service dept becaus I am treatd fairly and courteously. I spoke to a cashier named Krystle she was very helpful. I went to the dealership on 2/18/11 to have a noise checked. Benny told me the noise was from the brakes. I said to myself "how Much is this going to cost?" Benny told me it was covered under my factor checked. Benny told me the noise was from the brakes. I said to myself "how Much is this going to cost?" I was very happy with Tasha!! She was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. She told me what time to come in for the oil change and they service guy took my car immediately. My car was taken to Atlantic Toyota in Amityville after two days not knowing what was wrong with it. I own a fully certified Toyota and I paid for the Platinum warranty just in case. Today I was forced to pay over 238.00 for a battery because the service man (Wayne) informs me that because I didn't know what was wrong with the car and that they had to run all sorts of diagnostic tests on it that I had to pay labor charges. We (my husband) and I explained that if we knew we needed a battery, we would not have had the car towed to Toyota but rather we would have purchased a battery. I let the service representative know that he did a really nasty thing to unsuspecting honest people. He should have informed us of these trumped up charges before not after the fact. Had I had the opportunity, I would have told him where to put the battery and what to do with the diagnostic test. Don't go to Atlantic Toyota Service. They are really @@#$ $% thieves. More
We brought two cars in for service. We were hustled to buying expensive tires, but more important was the service pushed on Our Toyota Solara. We were told that our automatic transmission oil was dirty and we should have it changed. Thecar has only 20,000 miles on it. I said another time. I called my local service person and he said that doidi not seem right. He said bring it in and he would check it. He checked and said there was nothing wrong with the transmission oil. I am sure if there was he would have been glad to change it but it was not necessary. He said that most often the transmission oil will last the life of the car, but that it was not usually checked until at least 40,00 miles. Toyota service is very aggressive. I do not expect that the service department not make a profit, but they were way out of line. Rudy Cesarini More
I have serviced my car with Atlantic since I have had it. I have always done the service's they have recommended. Recently I have had a few bad experiences with them. They redid my brakes 4 times and wanted to charge me every time. Next I had an issue that would have been covered by warranty but I was over the mileage by 50 miles, they did nothing to help out with the cost of this. Now I went in to the dealer to only get an inspection and they were just rude!!!! I will never recommend them to anyone ever again. I love my Toyota Camry but hate Atlantic Toyota. More
