Mr. Jordan states that he was sold a vehicle with defective rear rotors and brake pads. It is the position of Auction Direct USA Raleigh, that Mr. Jordan was sold a vehicle that was safe, had passed our mechanical inspection and passed North Carolina state inspection standards. During the reconditioning of stock # G37570, repair order # 6170959 dated 3/12/20 on a 2017 Ford Fusion – v.i.n 3FA6P0PU1HR102035, the rear brake rotors were replaced with new Ford Motorcraft brake rotors and the brake pads were measured at 6mm thickness, well within our minimum standards. Mileage at the time of reconditioning was 28,921. A copy of the internal repair order, NC state inspection receipt and vendor Invoice 146-09982 for Ford Motorcraft rear brake rotors is attached. Mr. Jordan purchased the above-mentioned vehicle from Auction Direct USA Raleigh on 4/3/20. On repair order 6181254 (attached) opened 10/16/20 the vehicle mileage was noted at 31,856 miles. The repair was to replace the driver's side mirror, a cosmetic item noted to be damaged at time of sale and put on a "we owe form". At no point during that repair did the customer voice any concerns regarding the vehicle's brakes. Mr. Jordan further states that the extended warranty he purchased through Auction Direct USA refused to file a claim for the work he had done to his car. At the time of sale, Mr. Jordan purchased a United States Warranty which does not cover any form of wearable part, parts that are considered maintenance items, nor covers any type of cosmetic concerns. Parts such as brake pads and brake rotors are considered wearable / maintenance items. Mr. Jordan stated that the brake calipers are rusty, which is not covered by the United States Warranty. 7Mr. Jordan contacted US warranty on 3/1/21 and was informed of the lack of coverage by a US Warranty representative, noting that the brake pads and rotors were not a covered item. (Verified with a US Warranty Rep on 3/3/21 from USW system notes). Mr. Jordan can, at any time cancel his extended warranty contract for a pro-rated refund.

I reported the company to the NCDOT but North Carolina is a used car is sold "as is" state and legally they can't do anything. I was also informed that brake rotors are NOT required to be part of a dealership's "inspection". So don't believe any claims about a company's inspection especially this horrible company. That is a straight up lie that the rear rotors were replaced with "new Ford Motorcraft brake rotors". I can prove it too since I have a receipt for rear rotors replacement after driving 6k miles when "new" brake rotors should last 30k to 70k+ miles. Just look at the pictures on my Yelp review of the rusty calipers that came with my car. My Subaru with 150k miles that has been parked outside for months doesn't have as rusty parts. The rotors were just as rusty. Other reviewers have had issues with their brakes from this company. Something fishy is going on. I don't trust their "internal" repair order. I believe this company is switching out parts. I didn't report it to the company last year because they were braking fine and just had an issue after driving only 6k miles on these "new" rotors and I trusted this company. Even if I did, as you have stated with the warranty, you probably would have just said it was my fault for not taking care of "maintenance" parts. Lesson learned. I am fully aware that I can get a prorated refund but I don't want to deal with this crappy company anymore because United States Warranty Corp says I have to cancel at the dealership. I'm done with these crooks. Plus I've already read reviews about customers not getting a refund months after cancelling. What's the point? I have already had major issues when dealing with this company on unrelated things. They always have excuses. I'm ready to move on from this dealer forever and just hope I don't have anymore problems. Another lesson learned.
