Q8 Fixed!! Soon after taking delivery of my new Q8 I experienced the dreaded start stop hesitation. Thanks to a software update the Q8 drives link a super SUV. Thanks to the service department for completing the updates in just a day. Wow what a difference. Just wish that they would have washed the cars as promised. My Porsche and Mercedes dealers never return a dirty car to me after service. I understand that it was raining when they performed the updates and test drives, but it was hot and sunny upon pickup. Car not starting or holding charge. After speaking to Audi of Devon, they were pretty certain my battery wasn't coded. Bc I had just had a new battery put in at pep boys. So we went off After speaking to Audi of Devon, they were pretty certain my battery wasn't coded. Bc I had just had a new battery put in at pep boys. So we went off that premise. It turned out to be a alternator and not the battery(in fact the battery didn't even needed to be coded. I was told that I received a discount but didn't see how much was taken off. ALSO: my convertible top wasn't working and my Audi service coordinator said that the top was going up and down properly and I was relieved since they didn't work on my top. But on the day of picking it up, my service coordinator (Bill) said that the top was no longer working. Since then, my top has never even moved. It was on and off working before I had it in the shop And now the top will not do anything. Which makes me think it never did work when it was in the shop at Audi. Operating on the premise that my battery needed to be coded was the only reason I brought my car there, when it turned out to be something else, it was already too late and had to get it done there. I probably could have had it done much cheaper somewhere else. Was very disappointed as I thought this Audi of Devon was supposed to be one of the best Service shops of Audi in the nation. Very disappointed. More
