My husband and I went to Mattie because of an advertised VW JETTA wagon we saw on their website. We went in to look at the car and get a quote and wasn't given any answers to our questions like, the cost of VW JETTA wagon we saw on their website. We went in to look at the car and get a quote and wasn't given any answers to our questions like, the cost of the car. All they kept asking us is what are you trying to accomplish. Duh, we want to purchase a car. When we asked the price, we were told what does it matter as long as we're in our monthly payment budget. We should have walked out then. But we continued to talk and were told they could get us into the 350.00/payment range. We went back the next day to see if we could make a deal and have our trade in assessed. Al, our sales agent said he needed to test drive our car...ok, then 5 minutes later a mechanic is driving it. That makes more sence. Al could not answer any of our questions and kept leaving us, to go ask a manager. He finally came back with a couple quotes and they were all well above 350, with a guessed rate of 3.55, before running our credit AND VW was offering a potential 1.9%. When we questiond the rate, was told the percentage rate wasn't going to matter. After I saw that we were lowballed on our trade in I said that that was too low. We were then told, " we'll that's it then. This is a one shot deal. " to which we said thank you for you time, and left. It was one thing to not make a deal, but it is quite another to be treated with a rude and condesending salesperson. We will not return there for sale or service. More
I bought a new 2012 Q5 from Mattie in September. I went with my husband who was planning on buying a new A6 or A7. We test drove both and he decided on the A6. We spent over an hour going back and forth wi with my husband who was planning on buying a new A6 or A7. We test drove both and he decided on the A6. We spent over an hour going back and forth with colors. We even had my son come to the dealership to help him make up his mind. Getting fustrated, I went for a walk around the lot. Spotted a new Q5 in Red, asked Tim if we could take it for a test drive. He did reply NO, we cant drive this one, but I can use Mrs Mattie's for a test drive. He explanied to me the Q5s are selling at a premium. And the people that are paying MSRP or sometimes over dont like to have miles on there new car. I can understand that. He ran inside got the keys for the owners personal car, and off we went. Needless to say, I fell in love, my husband is driving my car, and we traded in his old car for my new red Q5. I cant say they went over the top, or did anything to wow me, but I would buy another car from them. No reason not to. More
I went to Mattie to look at test drive the Q5. I was told by my salesperson that before I could test drive the vehicle my trade in would have to be appraised and a price agreed upon before the test drive. We stopped in today to test drive and learn about a Q5. We asked the salesman for help and he responded "OK I have some time to kill". Then he knew nothing about the car and kept saying "The car sells itse We asked the salesman for help and he responded "OK I have some time to kill". Then he knew nothing about the car and kept saying "The car sells itself". All that was whatever but when we asked to test drive one he said it was Mattie's policy to NOT allow potential customers to test drive the Q5. In fact we overheard another salesman 'arguing' with another prospective buyer - saying he couldn't test drive a Q5. Then about five minutes later that prospective customer was allowed to test drive a Q5 - except that it was a sold Q5 with the new owners plates on it! They told us 'that one is sold and awaiting pickup' and five minutes later the other customer was loading his family into it for a test drive. Would Mattie do this to my car if I bought it there? We were very pleasant and upon saying goodby the salesman would not acknowledge us.###### My sister-in-law bought an Audi there seven years ago - it was a lemon - but Mattie would not help her exercise her lemon law rights or fix the problems. The Mattie staff was condescending and sexist to her. After a lot of stonewalling Mattie finally took the car in for overnight repair - and it was vandilized in the back lot - The headlights and other parts were stolen right off the car! ##### Stay Away. Went to three dealerships, and bought my 2011 A4 here because Mark was easy to deal with. They respected me as a woman and treated me very fairly. After I decided on the Audi the salesman that I worked with at the VW store sent me a nice little card congratulating me on my new Audi. I would recommend Nate to anyone looking for a new VW. He is great low pressure sales man. More
This dealership places no emphasis whatsoever on customer service. Dealer prep on my new GTI was awful. They threw the optional rubber floor mats right over the carpeted mats - right in the midst of the Le service. Dealer prep on my new GTI was awful. They threw the optional rubber floor mats right over the carpeted mats - right in the midst of the Lexus fiasco wherein doing so was suspected as the root cause of "unintended acceleration." The basically just threw me the keys while providing NO explanation of how the various features operate. I recently took my car in for its 10K service. They washed the car after performing service. The car was still filthy in many locations and they scratched the heck out of the rear bumper cover. (I suspect that sand was in the cloth/brush they used during the wash). The service rep denied responsibility for the damage and blamed me, claiming I did it before the service was performed. (LOL) I got the car home and checked the oil level; they skimped by filling it to the absolute minimum allowable level. The recommended tire pressure for my car is 38 PSIG all around; they set pressures at 34 all around. More
