Not important Enough customer/ Lied to; I went to this dealership to inquire about a used VWJetta (11,700); walked in - the people greeting me were amazing. They were so welcoming, so frie I went to this dealership to inquire about a used VWJetta (11,700); walked in - the people greeting me were amazing. They were so welcoming, so friendly. My salesman, Brian Bernard - was equally nice etc. I was going to be the co-signer on this loan for a friend (helping her get back on her feet); Brian, my friend and I discussed financing with the dealer. I asked what interest rate he could get me. Brian sent the finance guy, Doug, over to chat with us (he was kind of pompous, talking out of both sides of his mouth, talking over me, not listening etc., but whatever - fine). Doug told us, “I promise I will get on this first thing Monday morning and I will find you a great rate”. We told him, “great, do your thing and we’ll wait for your call Monday”. In the meantime - we discussed and made an agreement with Brian that we wanted to buy the car, but it would be contingent upon the interest rate that Doug was going to find us. That if we didn’t like the rate - we were not obligated to purchase the vehicle. Brian said, that’s fine. Leave us a deposit (1000.00 personal check) so we won’t show the car to anyone else and, quote, “We’re only asking for the deposit to hold the car and to know that you’re serious about the car while Doug gets an interest rate for you”. I asked Brian, ”Will my check be cashed? He repled, “oh no, no - like I said, it’s just to know that you’re serious about purchasing the vehicle”; I asked him again, “You’re sure my check won’t be cashed” He said, “No, it won’t” I said, Ok, great - talk to you Monday. Monday came, no word. I called Doug Monday around 145, asked about rate he was getting me. He gave me an excuse for not getting back to me and “promised” to call me back in a half hour - never called. Tuesday came - No word; I called Brian twice, mid afternoon - left voice mails and texted him twice - no response, nothing. Wednesday came - my friend who I was co-signing for, called Brian. She told him to void and return my 1000.00 check. He said he would put the voided check in the mail to me. Then Brian asked, do you want the interest rate we found you anyway? She said, “sure, you already ran our credit reports etc.” Neither guy called back, we never got any information on interest rate. Thursday comes - I’m looking at my bank acct. and low and behold - my 1000.00 check was cashed by Audi of Nashua. I was HOT. I called and spoke with a manager (Jessica/Jennifer). She handled it pretty well - I was very fired up. I had to threaten to bring my attorney to the dealer to get my 1,000 back. She had it sent back to me (over night); My point: I was not an important enough customer (I wasn’t buying an 80-100k Audi) for these two tools (Brian and Doug) to care, to follow up, to do their job. Brian lied right to my face about the check. xxxx - not even a courtesy or an apologetic phone call. I have not heard a peep from either of these two guys since the first day I walked into the dealership. I’m sure there are great sales people and staff in the dealership. However, avoid these two employees - they’re not trust worthy/ethical - they stood by nothing they told us they would do for us. Again, if you go in there to write a check for an A8, my gut tells me both these guys would polish your shoes. But remember, Brian Bernard and Doug void character, integrity and professionalism. Dont go to Audi of Nashua. Dont support a dealership, that supports employees you behave this way. Thanks, Beth More
