dishonest service Got a mailer regarding airbag recall on my 2009 A4 Cabriolet from this dealer. Previously had always used a different dealer, but decided to give the Got a mailer regarding airbag recall on my 2009 A4 Cabriolet from this dealer. Previously had always used a different dealer, but decided to give them a try as Classic is slightly closer for me. While waiting for parts to arrive (3 months) check engine light came on. Car was still running perfectly. Finally brought the car to Classic for the recall and thought might as well have them check the CEL light as well, According to Classic the back brakes needed to be changed, a vacuum hose and a vacuum pump needed to be changed as well as a new valve cover gasket, The car has 110,000 miles so it did not seem completely unreasonable and I went ahead with the $1900.00 repair. When we got the car back, the indicator light for changing the brakes was on. We drove it maybe 20 miles before the the CEL light came back on and the engine started skipping and stalling. Barely made it back home. Car went back to Classic and now apparently an actuator rod is bad requiring another $1600 repair. remember this was a car running perfectly before they got their hands on it and I commute 120 miles a day. The way I see it either the first repair was unnecessary or in the process they damaged the car requiring the second. I cannot justify any more expense on a car this old so am now going to donate it. Essentially I was deprived of a fully functional car that I had planned to use for quite some time. More
