I have been in the market for an Audi SQ5 for a couple months. With the low inventory it was a bit challenging. I finally located a car through Edmunds and contacted the dealership. I was at the dealership with plans to buy the next day. Upon my arrival I was greeted by Romen Artego who assisted me through the buying process. I was a bit nervous since this is the first time I went to a dealership alone to purchase a car. He was amazing, knowledgeable and so patient with all my questions. Prior to me driving off the lot he told me he would call me in the morning to follow up with any questions I may have. Sure enough I received a call before 11am and yes I had questions which he answered. The 2 hour drive to Walters Audi was more than worth it. Roman Artalego is amazing!!!!! More

My recent experience at Walter’s Audi on 7/17/21 was VERY POOR. I had been in contact with Brett M. (Sales Mgr) a couple days prior to my arrival. I was 100% transparent upfront about the vehicle I was tradi POOR. I had been in contact with Brett M. (Sales Mgr) a couple days prior to my arrival. I was 100% transparent upfront about the vehicle I was trading in/selling and the fact that we have an extremely busy family life with 5 kids. Also, I chose to be loyal to Walter’s since I bought my A4 there 3 years prior. I want to note as well that I’m over an hour drive to this dealership. I let Brett know that IF I didn’t purchase a car that day they would at the very least add a great vehicle to their used fleet and me as a returning customer in the near future. I wish that I could say that my appointment went smoothly. Without fault to Audi there was no car that I was interested in purchasing while I was there but I still wanted to sell them my A4 knowing that it had a lot of value in the current market. Let me add that ahead of time both Brett and his associate knew everything about my car (payoff, KBB value, CarFax, etc). And it was told to me that they were interested in my vehicle and that KBB would be a strong influence. My A4 was rated on the top end of the proposed value (as it should be since the car is in great condition and it’s a sought after model with the particular trim package. At the point I decided NOT to purchase a vehicle the vibe completely changed. I was then presented with excuses as to why my A4 didn’t have as much value as originally discussed. Following that I was offered a considerably lower amount….AKA I was terribly lowballed. My A4 is in great condition with no damage and a “minor incident” on the CarFax where my rim was damaged on the freeway. All work ever done on my Audi was done at an Audi Dealership. Completely verified and traceable within their system. During this lowballing “scheme” the manager Brett kept hiding behind this mythical USED CAR MANAGER (that was his/her presented name). Brett kept stating that it was the managers decision and he had no say in it. It’s funny how this “used car manager” who makes offers on cars they haven’t seen is only available by phone, doesn’t present the offer in person, and you can’t speak to them. Seems to me like it’s a play to make a few thousand extra dollars on a car and a loyal customer. My thoughts? Brett knew that I didn’t have much time and was under the gun with getting rid of my car. He knew that I was over an hour drive away and waiting for my wife to come pick me up once I sold my car. Since I didn’t purchase a vehicle he decided to play me for a fool and work me for a great deal on my A4. Is that how you treat loyal customers? I want to let everybody know that I went somewhere else and was treated the way Walter’s Audi SHOULD have treated me. I was offered ABOVE what I asked Brett to pay for my vehicle. Thousands above what the “used car manager” offered me. I could understand if there was a few hundred dollar difference in offers from other dealers, but thousands????? Proof that this was an attempted scheme to work a customer for extra cash to make themselves look good. I will NEVER step foot in Walter’s Audi again. I will NEVER spend another penny there. Brett and the “used car manager” should be ashamed and I hope this review brings clarity to how things are run at Walter’s Audi when he’s managing the sales floor. I STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere when looking to buy and Audi or trade a vehicle in. More
