M Don't ever buy a vehicle from this place. I had been speaking with Jared (salesperson) about a vehicle that I was really interested in purchasing. Made an appointment to come in the next morning to look at the vehicle. Was emailed before I left the house confirming my appointment to look at the vehicle. Great! Well not so great. I arrived at the dealership, excited to look at the the vehicle. I asked for Jared and was told he wasn't even there! I said he and I had an appointment, and his "partner" (Eric G.) told me the vehicle was sold the day before. I said xxx? I was talking to Jared last night right before closing time and was told the vehicle was still available. I wasn't told it had been sold when my appointment that morning was confirmed. Needless to say, I was a little ticked off. Eric told me they had a similar vehicle available that was a year newer, and they can maybe work with me to get close to where I wanted to be price wise. Dummy me, I bit that line of xx.... So we go look at this similar vehicle, which wasn't similar at all. Didn't have the upgraded stereo, didn't have the sunroof, and most importantly, didn't have the heated/ventilated seats that I really wanted. I specifically brought this issue to his attention, and he said that should not be a problem to install. Great! Based on that, I decided to go ahead and buy this vehicle. They gave me one key, and told me I had to go to a DIFFERENT dealer to pick up the second key. So I did, and when I got there, they couldn't find the second key. I contacted my salesperson and said that they would have to order one and get it programmed. No biggy, but still a pain in the butt. I also had an issue with the radio, the voice recognition would not work. So Eric tells me he would get in touch with me Monday about scheduling the appointment to have the seats I wanted installed, as well as the radio repaied. I never hear from him. Eventually on Wednesday I had to make contact with Jared to find out when I am going to be taking my car in to get the seats installed. (mind you I had to pay extra for this). He get's back in touch with me and tells me the following week, which is fine. Fast forward to next week, I drop my car off in the morning to get worked on. I figured it would be an all day deal, which is fine. It ended up being the next day before it was done, again, not a big deal. So I go to the dealership to get my car, excited for the heated/ventilated seats. I get in, and lo and behold, not what I asked for. Only heated seats were installed. I went back inside to grab my Eric and he told me I only paid for heated seats. I told him we SPECIFICALLY discussed heated/ventilated seats. He told me that since I only paid for the heated portion, that is all I got. I asked how can that be since we talked at length about it. At first he denied it, but then he admitted that we talked about it and that is what I had asked for, and thought I was getting. It is a good thing I have this conversation recorded, as it will help me immensely in court. Also come to find out, the radio wasn't repaired either. I asked about that, and was told I would have to contact the Kia Service Center myself to schedule that. I left that day extremely ticked off. Fast forward to today. My payment is supposed to be due sometime right around this time, but I have yet to receive ANY loan paperwork from the loan company. I tried to contact them directly and received an email back but have yet to make actual contact by phone. When I was going over my sales paperwork, I had to correct it on numerous occassions because they kept entering an address that I hadn't lived at for about 8 years... I have a funny feeling that they put down this address and an old phone number when they submitted my loan application. I am going to be REALLY pissed if I am late on a payment due to their ignorance. I am a police officer, and if I screwed up in my job as bad as these idiots have, I wouldn't have a job anymore. All in all, my overall experience with Auffenberg was terrible. I was warned by numerous people prior to the sale to avoid them, and I didn't heed their advise. Now I wish I would have. This place is a joke, their sales people are a joke, and no one else there seems to give a rats butt about the customer after the sale. I'll take my car to Missouri for work before I'll go back to Auffenberg to have any work done. They have enough of my money already. More

We arrive at 11:50 am and we are told the car was sold an hour ago by the Aaron Hess the salesman that I made my appointment with. I had informed Mr Hess that I was paying cash and it was a bit further than I wanted to drive. I was reassured the car I was looking at would be worth it. What a way to up hold the dirty snake salesman stereotype More

Beware inspection team The email I sent to Mazda about Auffenberg I wanted to convey my very negative experience with purchasing and returning a Certified Pre-Owned 2013 The email I sent to Mazda about Auffenberg I wanted to convey my very negative experience with purchasing and returning a Certified Pre-Owned 2013 Mazda CX-5 at Auffenberg in O'Fallon, Il. My wife and I purchased the vehicle yesterday, and we loved the vehicle. However, we got in it last night and, it didn't start. We figured it out that one of the key fobs was bad. Then, this morning I started the vehicle and the heat didn't work at all during the 45 minute drive. During this same time, the check engine light came on and the tpms light came on. I took the vehicle back to the dealer after work, and they showed the paperwork detailing inspection. I will say they did offer to fix everything. However, I don't have the time to keep dealing with it. Furthermore, and I told them when I took the vehicle back that I question the competency of their service department. In a 152 point inspection, these failures should have been caught and addressed. They charged me $447 to take the vehicle back, which I thought was ridiculous considering it was defective and not properly inspected. I spoke to the GM and he told me to pick something else or pay it and leave. I am a prison guard. So, it's not exactly easy for me to find time to car shop. I did extensive research to find this CX-5, and I am not about to pick something on a whim from a lot that is already suspect. However, I paid it because the main reason I bought the vehicle was the Mazda verified inspection, which to me seems like was shoddy at best, and i dont trust anything on their lot at this point. I write all of this to say, I love mazdas. My first two cars were mazdas, and I always had confidence in the Mazda name until today. I hope Mazda understands what their name brand means to some of us loyal to the brand, and how wreckless these dealers are putting Mazda's name on the inspection. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I cannot believe dealerships are this short-sighted in today's social media age. They lost much more than $447 from my future business and that of our families friends, co-workers, etc. I hope this is more of a reflection of Auffenberg and not of Mazda More

Excellent customer service provided by Nate Croff Upon entering the dealership on December 31, 2015, Nate Croff immediately greeted me and my husband, and asked which vehicle we were interested in. W Upon entering the dealership on December 31, 2015, Nate Croff immediately greeted me and my husband, and asked which vehicle we were interested in. Within minutes he showed us the car, explained the features, and took us on a test drive. Upon our return he explained some additional features of the car, offered us options, negotiated with us, and was not afraid to approach his manager with our offer several times. Nate also graciously contacted another salesman we previously met with at another Auffenberg dealership out of respect. This showed his character. Nate took care to clean and detail the car prior to delivery. He also ensured the car had a full tank of gas. In the past four years, we have purchased more than one car, but always from out-of-state dealerships. Because of Nate's top-notch customer service and desire to earn our business we purchased a car in Illinois for the first time. Customer service is very important, and we had visited several dealerships in the weeks prior to our purchase. Auffenberg dealership and Nate provided the product and service we were looking for. As a result we purchased the car. Nate works hard to satisfy the customer! Business relationships and loyalty are very important to us, so it was important to do business with a reputable dealership and sales representative. Both Auffenberg and Nate Croff met this high standard. We had a great experience from start to finish. Please encourage them to keep up the good work. Excellence never goes unnoticed. More
Bad experience from start to finish Buying used is always a bit of a toss-up, but buying used from a supposedly reputable dealer should be a safer bet ... right? Not for us, it wasn't. T Buying used is always a bit of a toss-up, but buying used from a supposedly reputable dealer should be a safer bet ... right? Not for us, it wasn't. They lost the key fob and would not replace it. Strike one. The metal part of the seatbelt was exposed because the protective plastic cap had been broken or lost. They were supposed to fix it before we picked it up. They didn't, and we had to return twice to get that done -- and even then, they put one on that didn't even come close to matching. Strike two. Strike three? The GPS went out within a few weeks of driving it and has to be completely replaced to the tune of $650 -- and that's for an aftermarket system that is self-installed. Well, just for the icing on the cake, they lost our oil change appointment (that they "threw" in since they lost the key fob, but it turns out that they give everyone the first oil change free -- so gee, thanks for that). I might as well have gone to those shady joints with salesmen in checkered suits and questionable personal hygiene. Maybe I'd have saved some money, too. Never never never will we be buying a vehicle from this place again. Horrible experience. Terrible customer service. Buyer beware. More

This is the My daughter and I recently purchased a 2012 Honda Accord from the O'Fallon location and were very satisfied with the service we received. This is the third vehicle we purchased from Auffenberg and each time seems to get better. The salesman, Ryan Ward, was an effective communicator who accommodated whatever we wanted to do or explore without our feeling pushed in any direction. He came across as being very much a people person who tried to satisfy his customers' needs to the best of his ability. It was a pleasure dealing with him. More
