An absolute nightmare. If you're thinking about buying the warranty PLEASE READ. I went in to sell my car and buy something new. Found a BMW X1 that I liked and went with that. Within 1 week a check en the warranty PLEASE READ. I went in to sell my car and buy something new. Found a BMW X1 that I liked and went with that. Within 1 week a check engine light went on for an evaporaitve emmisions valve. Luckily covered under warranty. Second week, somethings wrong with the shifter. I called autolenders who couldn't get me in for almost a month, stating they would most likely outsource it to BMW anyway. I call BMW who have an earlier appointment. Drop it off. WHAT THEY DONT TELL YOU IS THE CLAIM HAS TO BR AUTHORIZED BEFORE THEY ISSUE YOU A RENTAL. Which has been a week and It still hasn't been authorized. Now for the fun part, BMW calls me and finds a multitude of problems. Engine mounts shot, car out of alignment and by looking at the wear on the tires its been that way for some time. Meanwhile I had driven the car less than 500 miles and at this point it will be at the shop for longer than I've owned it. The vehical obviously was not inspected properly. Their 3rd party warranty company will only pay 40 dollars a day for your rental also, if you ever actually get it.
