Disappointing experience. I received a firm texted offer of $32,000 from their internet sales team to purchase my MDX, so I drove out and spent over an hour at the dealership. I received a firm texted offer of $32,000 from their internet sales team to purchase my MDX, so I drove out and spent over an hour at the dealership. Once there, they told me flatly that $32,000 wasn't even close — that there was no world in which they'd buy this year and model at that price. In other words, the exact number they'd texted to get me down there. To justify the lowball they also claimed the car needed new brakes; I'd replaced the rotors and pads 18 months earlier and had the receipt, so that simply wasn't true. If they'll inflate the one thing you can document when buying your car, assume the same games when you're the one buying from them — the dishonesty cuts both directions. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Get everything in writing, and don't take their word on what 'needs fixing' — verify it. More
