To whom it may concern, In the past 25 years I have To whom it may concern, In the past 25 years I have been unable to trust car salesmen and I speak only from experience. This was until I worked wit To whom it may concern, In the past 25 years I have been unable to trust car salesmen and I speak only from experience. This was until I worked with Willie Dalgen. Willie was honest and gave it to me straight. No BS. He provided best price and got me out the door fast with the truck I wanted. Willie earned an “Excellent” overall rating from the excellent service he provided me. I also received excellent service from the Sales Manager and Finance Manager, but Willie is the best. Thank you, Jonathan Grantham More
I was in the market for a new car and I walked into Power Chevrolet in Valencia. Initial impression was good, I sat down to the table with the salesperson (actually two of them, which was kind of strange but I didn't seem to mind at that time) and we negotiated the price for the new Chevrolet Cruze. They ran credit report on me, got all my financial and employment information, approved me, and I drove off their lot in a new car. It goes VERY STEEPLY DOWNHILL from here. While my first day's impression with PowerChevrolet of Valencia was good and everything was candy-dandy, three days later my relationship with this particular dealership turned into a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. I got a phone call from Harry, a guy that does finances, who informed me in an English accent that Ally Financial rejected my application and that I will need to return the car. I asked him why did they approve me in the first place three days ago. His response was that Power Chevrolet Valencia uses a different credit scoring and completely different method to approve customers, than Ally Financial. Yet, they finance all new cars with Ally. If that isn't a bunch of baloney and they actually do that, it is very unprofessional for them to actually approve a customer for a new car and have him or her believe it, have them drive off their lot, and then ask the customer three days later to bring the car back. But this is not why I am writing this review at all as you will find out soon. I said to Harry that I will return the car the same evening, but have the deposit refund check ready for me. At this point Harry said it would not be possible, and that I would need to wait a few days to get my $750 refund check. I said that I've seen my $750 check, which I gave them three days ago, already cashed, and I can bring a proof of this if he can't check their bank records. He said that this would not change anything and again repeated that it would not be possible for him to give me the $750 check and I would have to wait. Then I said that I would return the car when he had the check ready for me. At this point this joker said "do you think I or my dealership needs your stinking $750?". I wish I recorded this conversation, because that was something else. It was not your usual conversation with a dealership employee. I said "I don't think I will ever buy a GM car again". His response to this was short: "Good!". To my bewilderment he then said that he would have the car repossessed and I would lose the $750 in the process. What a piece of work!!! I said I had no problem with returning the car, just have the $750 check ready for me when I walk in with the keys. Again, the response was "No". I asked to speak with the dealership's manager. Of course, the manager was conveniently "in a meeting". I said I wanted to speak with the manager and I would call back later. When I called back an hour later the manager this time was not available because he "stepped out and would not be back for the rest of the day". So fine, I drove the car for another day checking the parking spot whether or not they were towing the car. The next day, I called early in the morning asking to speak with the manager. Again, the manager was not available, and I actually never got to speak about this with anyone else other than Harry. At 3:30pm the same day Harry called my home number and left message on my answering machine saying "I have the check for you ready so I guess I will see you this evening". I actually drove after work with my wife as a witness to return this damned car to Power Chevrolet of Valencia. I walked in and went to Harry's office. I said that I was returning the car and he snapped at me "don't you see I am with customer?". After waiting for about 45 minutes, he finally asked me for the keys, and handed a $750 check to me saying "here's your check". He went out to inspect the car, came back and wanted me to sign a release of responsibility for the car, saying that I would be responsible for any damage to the car until the current mileage. However, when I looked at the paper he handed me, I noticed that the mileage was incorrect. It was 9 miles more than the actual mileage (the last two digits were reversed, 65 instead of 56). At this point I wasn't going to trust anyone from this dealership and the last person I would trust was Harry, so I had him correct the mistake before I signed this piece of paper. I cashed the check the very next day and I know I will never step into Power Anything of Valencia, and the heck with GM too for having such crappy dealerships. As for Harry, he shouldn't be working with customers at all. Good luck to you in your new job. More
Willie was very helpful in the purchase of our vehicle. We already knew what we wanted when we entered and he made it possible. He was very patient and the dealership made it very easy to get in and out. W We already knew what we wanted when we entered and he made it possible. What can I say, I was so used to getting pressured into a deal and hurried through the transaction. It was a nice change dealing with Power. My sales person, Willie went above and beyond any car dealer I h deal and hurried through the transaction. It was a nice change dealing with Power. My sales person, Willie went above and beyond any car dealer I have ever dealt with. I came all the way from Texas mostly because of Willie and his helpfullness. If you deal with Power, ask for Willie, He is the MAN! He even delivered service after the sale. More
I want to take a moment to express how professional Willie Dalgan was. I have dealt with him in the past wand we were not able to get a deal worked out. However since he has been so good to me I decide Willie Dalgan was. I have dealt with him in the past wand we were not able to get a deal worked out. However since he has been so good to me I decided to go to him again I explained what we were looking for and he came thru above and beyond. I thought the payment would be over 400.00 and when we got there is was 360.00 he was amazing. I hope he is recognized as a great friendly employee who I believe you are lucky to have. If it wasn't for him I would've never come back to Power Chevy of Valencia to purchase a car. Thank you, Anthony Cicchetti 661-313-0897 More
I have been to many dealerships in the past, but I must say that the experience I had trading our Tahoe and purchasing our new Equinox at Power Chevrolet Valencia was absolutely the best I have ever had. O say that the experience I had trading our Tahoe and purchasing our new Equinox at Power Chevrolet Valencia was absolutely the best I have ever had. Our salesperson Willie was professional and helpful without the usual pressure approach. He listened and knew our needs up front without games or empty promises. Everything he told us about our new vehicle proved to be true and, more importantly, the dealership did not insult us with a ridiculous low-ball offer on our trade, but instead returned with a very fair offer the FIRST time around. They are a caring group of people, and would recommend them highly to anyone looking to be treated with fairness and respect. More
