horrible mechanics and they dont pay warranty car rentals My boyfriend took his dodge ram promaster 2500 in for service here in June of 2019 ( it was still under warranty) they door handle was not working pr My boyfriend took his dodge ram promaster 2500 in for service here in June of 2019 ( it was still under warranty) they door handle was not working properly in the back and the vehicle was misfiring and throwing a check engine code. They kept the vehicle for a week replaced the wrong parts on the door handle and did not fix the problem correctly the first time so it had to be repaired a second time. They also didn't know how to figure out what was wrong with the engine so they replaced an ignition coil, something that was not even broken, and had us pick it up. There was a hertz rental car at this time that they were suppose to cover under the warranty. We put the rental in my name at the time because my boyfriend had his credit card compromised and after he got his new credit card we switched the rental to his name. We picked up the car and it was still miss firing and the check engine light came back on. We took it back to hilton head again and they kept it another week and claimed they could not find or replicate the problem. There was another hertz rental during this time. We took the car after that to the dodge dealership in Yulee, Florida and they found immediately that one side of the cylinder head was blown on the engine and that was causing the misfire and repaired it. These issues and rentals occurred in June and July of 2019. In December of 2019 my boyfriend got two letters from Hertz saying that Hilton Head dodge never paid the Hertz rentals and that they were going to bill him. After many phone calls to Hilton head dodge where they said they were going to take care of these bills and him calling his bank he finally got it straightened out and hertz returned him the money. Hilton Head also said they covered the car that I had rented and then switched to his name. I got a letter on February 11th 2020 saying hilton head had not paid the rental car in my name and that I would be billed if payment was not received in ten days. I called hilton head and tried to get them to take care of it and I never heard back from them after I emailed them all the appropriate paperwork. It also looks like Hertz doubled my bill it went from $140 to $280 showing someone paid $140 which was the original bill Hilton head was suppose to cover and no one will return my calls or emails from Hertz. I had thought this had been settled but today March 24th I see that the $140 charge is pending on my credit card so I will have to dispute this with my bank. Stay far away from this place they can't diagnose problems, cant do quality repairs, and they don't pay for their warranty rental cars either. This place is terrible. More
I had a good experience buying the car. Came in recently for a 5000 mile check up, not so good. I had a noon appointment and my car did not go in until 1:10 PM. I did spend a half hour of that time talking for a 5000 mile check up, not so good. I had a noon appointment and my car did not go in until 1:10 PM. I did spend a half hour of that time talking to my very helpful salesman, Tim McDaniels, who sold me the car. Hope the next appointment is better. More
Worst Experience Ever To start off, you cannot trust their advertised on-line prices. Their internet department and sales department are disconnected; one talks bad about To start off, you cannot trust their advertised on-line prices. Their internet department and sales department are disconnected; one talks bad about the other. After searching for a vehicle on-line and told that price was not correct, we called and complained to the internet sales and they assured us 100% that the advertised price was correct. We drove from Savannah to the Hilton Head dealership, only to be told “no” that price was not correct. So we left. Half way back to Savannah, we get a call from the sales manager stating he felt bad, and how we were treated was not the way they do business, and they would honor the price. So we turned around, knowing something would not be right. We got back to the dealership and they evaluated our trade-in and low-balled us by 4K. Ironic that 4K was the difference in their supposed pricing error? We said no to the trade and left. We went down to the Savannah Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership and they dealt with us honestly and had an outstanding customer experience. We found a great car at a fair price, got more for our trade than anticipated and they were totally satisfied. More
Outstanding personal service Kim Dennison is an outstanding Service Consultant and a true asset to the team at Peacock Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. She embraces and personifies Kim Dennison is an outstanding Service Consultant and a true asset to the team at Peacock Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Fiat. She embraces and personifies all of the aspects of what make the Peacock car dealerships a trusted name throughout the Low Country. A couple of days ago, I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from an out-of-state dealership. The very next day the engine check-light came on, so I took it to the Peacock Auto Mall in Hardeeville to get a diagnostic test. As it turned out, there were several issues including a failing torque converter. Kim took the time and effort to call the other dealership (where I had just purchased the car) to see if they would accept responsibility for the repair costs. Of course the other dealership reneged on paying for most of the cost, but they agreed to cover a portion. Kim Dennison did her best to help me – that meant the world to me! Kim’s professionalism and warm demeanor turned an unfortunate situation into a pleasant experience. This review site only allows 5 stars, but Kim is definitely a 10-star Service Consultant! So thanks to Kim and the entire Peacock service team. My car is running smoothly and is now in excellent condition. Errol Scott Hammet Hilton Head, SC More

Dropped off car to get inspected and quoted on a specific issue that is causing car to over heat by evaporating the.coolant t in the bucket. The repairs completed did not remediste the issue, even when I was issue that is causing car to over heat by evaporating the.coolant t in the bucket. The repairs completed did not remediste the issue, even when I was told the car was fixed and not overheating. I was specifically told there was no. We’d to repair anything else and that the car was fixed and not over heating. When I drove home, the car overheated 5 minutes later. This is unacceptable and my first bad experience dealing with this car dealer. I expect some type of resolution soon.. also, other car dealers provide veterans discount for parts and labor, here I only received c10% discount for parts only. More

Beware Branded Title Vehicles My wife and I have purchased several cars from this mall over the last few years. Most purchases were pleasant, except for one. That's why I'm here. A My wife and I have purchased several cars from this mall over the last few years. Most purchases were pleasant, except for one. That's why I'm here. About a year ago, we wanted to upgrade my sedan to an SUV to accommodate our growing family and after looking online found a Jeep in our price range that looked to be in good condition. We went in the next day, and ended up purchasing the vehicle. Everything was fine at the time and we went on with our life. Fast forward a year and we're back to lease another vehicle for my wife and look at purchasing a truck for myself to pursue additional business ventures. We found vehicles we liked and sat down to work numbers. That is until we were told my Jeep that I had purchased a year ago was worth half of what I owed. It was then that the salesmen printed and showed me an 11 page Car-Fax with every alert you could think of plastered on the front. I had been sold a lemon law vehicle, that had also been in a severe accident causing it to now have a salvage title. None of this was disclosed to me when purchasing the vehicle, otherwise I would not have purchased it!! I have since spent the last 6 months either on the phone with the bank that financed the loan, or trying to get in touch with someone at Peacock to resolve this situation. I was told my John Lyons at Peacock that we would work out a deal to help me trade into something else and make the situation right. That was in July and nothing has changed. During this entire time, the ac in the Jeep failed and needed a few components replaced. I was told that it was under "A Warranty" and that it would be fixed. I bring the car in, only to be called a few days later telling me that the warranty company will not cover those specific components and I will need to pay the diagnostic fee of $150 to get my vehicle back. A few weeks go by and John calls me to see if the Jeep had been fixed. I explain to him what happened and he says he is going to "pull some strings" to get the ac fixed. Strings were pulled and the parts were ordered under warranty. 3 more weeks go by, mind you this entire time having to drive the car with my 2 young children in 100 degree weather. I finally had enough and called to see why there was a delay. I was told that the parts had been in for some time, but they were waiting to have a loaner vehicle become available. I was never given the option to just drop my car off, instead they made a choice for me and my kids suffered because of that. Finally the ac was fixed, once temps dropped below 80, thanks.I went in to see if they would stand by what John had said of making this entire situation right, and getting me traded out of a vehicle that is not worth what I owe. I was told my another manager there that there was no way they could do anything unless I had an additional $3,000 for a down payment. Mind you, the truck i was looking at was under $25,000 and my Jeep loan is under $20,000 yet they refused to fix the mess they had made. Before leaving, I was told by one of the salesmen to buy a lottery ticket on the way home in hopes of coming up with the necessary cash to make a deal. Long story short, this has been the worst experience purchasing a car I have ever dealt with. The guys that sold me the car originally weren't upfront about the history and damage to the vehicle and just wanted to make a sale. The management who have agreed that the car shouldn't have been sold are unwilling to do anything to make it right. They are willing to lose loyal customers over a branded title car that they should never have placed on the lot in the first place. I have been in customer service for over 13 years and never have I seen a company treat customers like this, let alone refuse to even respond to emails or calls. DO NOT buy from Peacock. They only treat you as a valued customer if you have cash you're willing to throw around. If there's an issue with a purchase they will tell you best of luck, and to go buy lottery tickets. The only reason this has 1 star is because zero isn't an option. More
