I’m emotionally upset at this moment. I received email from Sally Vaughn with a link showing work for the noise being the catalytic converter fit $5500 to fix the problem. I’m extremely disappointed because on the initial advisor sent me this message in February 23, after having my car for 13 days with rental fees pending at that time.-Good evening Mrs. Johnson, i just received a call back from your warranty company. They went through the contract you have and unfortunately the parts needed are not covered under your powertrain contract. The rattling noise you were hearing was found to be a faulty belt tensioner/idle pulley and the serpentine belt is cracking and needs replacement. The trunk latch was also found faulty and is the reason for the trunk not opening. We also found other maintenance items that are needed and i have included those in the price estimate below. Take your time reviewing the estimate and let me know if you have any questions. I separated the estimate to show your main concerns on the top of the page. Thank you! - Sean I received email today for Sally Vaughn at autoNation stating that my catalytic converter has a whole in it and needed to be replaced and this would be $5500 after getting my car back on February 25,2023. This cost me $1600 along with $800 in rental fees for having my vehicle for 15 days in total. Only to still have the problem to exist. Pricing the catalytic converter for the left side was $900 and right side is $800 labor only $214 I strong feel I’m a victim of Deceptive trade purposes, I brought my vehicle in for a rattle noise that still was present upon picking it up after 15 days later.
