I was told by the service advisor that the repair was a “definite solution” and came with a 24-month unlimited mileage warranty. Less than 7 months later, the same issue returned. I brought the car back in June 2025. The dealership acknowledged the timing components had failed again and began a warranty repair. During disassembly, they found crankshaft keyway damage, declared it “unrelated,” and quoted me $12,818.18 for a full engine replacement. So now, I’m out $7K for a repair that didn’t work — and being told to pay another $13K to fix what I thought was already fixed. The car is now undrivable and disassembled. This is unacceptable from a Ford-authorized service center. I have full documentation, and I’m now pursuing formal complaints with Ford, BBB Auto Line, and legal counsel. If you're considering getting engine work done here, think twice. You may end up paying thousands for a “repair” that leaves you worse off than before. More
I have been having an issue with a moldy smell blowing out of my air conditioner shortly after I bought my 2023 F150 Raptor in January 2024. I have brought it in 3 times to get this issue fixed. The f out of my air conditioner shortly after I bought my 2023 F150 Raptor in January 2024. I have brought it in 3 times to get this issue fixed. The first time, they sprayed cleaner into the air conditioning lines and the smell returned a week later. I called the service center and was told they would have to open the hood up to find out the issue and would not be able to get a courtesy car due to them being backup up for months. A few months later I called again to see if they can fix it when I take my truck in for the next oil change. The scheduler tells me the service manager will call me about providing a courtesy car. Fast forward two weeks and I did not heard back from anyone. I called the schedulers again and they gave me the service managers phone number. I tried calling that number multiple times and it was random number of someone that doesn’t work in the auto industry. July 29th was the third time I brought my truck in for an oil change and to fix the air conditioner. I am told by the service agent that they would have to go under the hood to fix the AC and the truck would have to stay overnight and that courtesy cars were backed up for months. He also said I could pay $230 to do preventive maintenance on my evaporator and he was 90% sure that would fix the issue. I was hesitant because my truck is still under full warranty but decided to go with that since I couldn’t leave my truck overnight. The next day I was still getting my moldy smell in my truck. A couple weeks later, I call the schedulers again to see if I can reserve a courtesy car for next January (over 4 months away) so they can finally go under the hood and fix the problem. They said they left a message to the service manager and he would call me. Fast forward two weeks from that and still have heard from no one. I have reached out to my last service advisor via text and still get the run around even after I simply ask them to just have the manager call me. I bought my 2023 F150 Raptor along with their most expensive warranty from Sanford Ford Autonation in January 2024. Since then, I have been treated like absolute trash in getting things fixed and having any customer service what so ever. I would’ve thought buying one of their high end vehicles and taking it to the dealership’s service center would afford some customer service, but it does not. It has been extremely frustrating working with their service department from them simplifying not tightening skid plates on (and having it fall off while driving on the 417) to having any communication or customer service. If my warranty didn’t cover 10 oil changes there is no chance I would take my truck here again. More
