Took my Expedition to AutoNation for repair of three items. I was told that they'd need the vehicle "for a day". I made an appointment for the next week. I noticed that the dealership offered a pick-up items. I was told that they'd need the vehicle "for a day". I made an appointment for the next week. I noticed that the dealership offered a pick-up service, which was extremely helpful. Later, when I called for a status update I was told that repairs hadn't started and would take several days, "someone should have told you". Fair enough, but had I known earlier I would have been prepared with a rental car for the interim. The vehicle was then promised Monday. When I called to confirm completion on Monday noon, I was told that it would now be Wednesday. Again, this would have been nice to know before returning the rental car. When my vehicle was finally ready, I discovered that only two of the three things for which I'd sought repair had been done... which was particularly frustrating because I'd both told the service agent and written the needed repairs on a page of paper that was still on the center console, with two of them checked off. Favorable aspects: the repairs that were done seem to be complete and effective. Well done! Pickup and delivery service to my office was particularly helpful and much appreciated. That is an outstanding service. Unfavorable aspects: not all requested repairs were completed, No notice of required time for repair work was given until the expected day of completion, twice, at which time the expected completion date had slipped.
