My 2020 Explorer was out of warranty but AutoNation worked with me on the price for the service required. Mark Tierno went above and beyond to get the repairs done. I had an outstanding experience purchasing my new 2026 Ford Explorer from AutoNation Ford Westlake. I traveled from the Youngstown area because their upfront pricing was jaw droppingly fair and thousands Ford Explorer from AutoNation Ford Westlake. I traveled from the Youngstown area because their upfront pricing was jaw droppingly fair and thousands below the best offer I had negotiated elsewhere. After an almost ridiculous amount of research and comparing Explorers in the xx trim and color I wanted throughout Ohio, I knew their deal was exceptional. AutoNation’s no haggle approach was refreshingly simple and required little effort on my end. Most importantly, they honored the price without games, surprise add ons, last minute changes or pressure to use dealer financing. I was initially skeptical because AutoNation is such a large company and I was unfamiliar with the brand. While driving there, I honestly expected closing the deal to become stressful because the price seemed almost too good to be true. Instead, everything was exactly as represented. I am extremely glad I included AutoNation Ford Westlake in my search. They saved me thousands of dollars and a tremendous amount of time. If I were buying again, I would start with AutoNation rather than waste time shopping everywhere else first. My salesman, Jaquan Hardy, was responsive, patient and thorough. Although he is newer to automotive sales, he conducted himself like a seasoned professional. Since I was purchasing from a distance, I asked plenty of questions and requested detailed information. Jaquan followed through and gave me the confidence to make the trip knowing the Explorer and the deal were exactly as represented. Jaquan was also genuine, personable and relatable. Success in sales requires more than closing a deal. Meaningfully connecting with customers matters, and Jaquan understands that. He has a promising future in this business, and I wish him nothing but continued success. Matt, the manager, helped put together a genuinely exceptional deal without wasting my time with endless negotiations. The transparent pricing and willingness to honor every advertised discount set this dealership apart. Frankie made the finance process clear, comfortable and refreshingly low pressure. He respected my Navy Federal financing, explained everything carefully and never tried to force unwanted warranties or protection products into the transaction. My only recommendation is for AutoNation’s corporate and IT leadership. Frankie struggled with the unreliable printer in his office, and he deserves his own fast, dependable printer and copier. Good employees deserve responsive technology that supports their workflow instead of creating unnecessary stress while they are helping customers. AutoNation should give Frankie equipment that matches the quality of his work. The entire team was transparent, professional and respectful. I was in and out seamlessly and headed home in my beautiful new Explorer before I knew it. The drive from Youngstown was absolutely worthwhile. I confidently recommend Jaquan, Matt, Frankie and AutoNation Ford Westlake. They earned every bit of this review. 10/10 stars! More
I recently experienced issues with what to me seemed like the electrical system on my F150. I had the battery tested somewhere else, and they said it was good. With the check engine light on and thinking t the electrical system on my F150. I had the battery tested somewhere else, and they said it was good. With the check engine light on and thinking the battery was alright, I took the truck to Auto Nation's service department. My service advisor Mark kept be up to date on the progress. The testing showed it was in fact the battery that was the issue. Mark patiently addressed all my questions: on codes, electrical affects, and cost. He assured me that all the items were being addressed and that I wouldn't be sent home with a truck that wasn't fully repaired. The overall experience was good after the frustration I suffered with the battery/parts store that apparently couldn't actually diagnose the problem. Thank you Mark and the Service Department at Auto Nation Ford! More
I scheduled the first service on my new Maverick for a routine oil change and tire rotation. During check-in, the service advisor asked if I wanted the “Engine Performance Restoration” service, saying tha routine oil change and tire rotation. During check-in, the service advisor asked if I wanted the “Engine Performance Restoration” service, saying that if I didn’t do it now, I’d need to do it at my next service. Based on that explanation, I agreed. I was surprised to learn afterward that the service was essentially adding a fuel additive to the gas tank for about $45. After doing my own research, I found that Ford does not list this as required maintenance for my truck, and the owner’s information generally advises against unnecessary fuel additives. Shame on me for not asking more questions, but customers shouldn’t be pressured into paying for services that aren’t part of the scheduled maintenance without a clear explanation of what they are and why they’re needed. The oil change and tire rotation were fine, but this experience left me questioning the sales approach. I’ll likely return only for warranty work and recalls More
