I dropped off my car for a standard oil change. Jason, service advisor, called me a few hours later to tell me I needed a brake service. He stated that I had 0.1 mm of wear left on the brake pads. He stated that they were dangerously low and was very persistent in having me authorize the service. I declined since I didn't have the money. When I picked up the car, I noticed that I had over 4.0 mm remaining and they did not need to be replaced. These brakes would have lasted for another few years. I don't mind paying for repairs that are needed. I also don't mind paying for preventive maintenance. But I have a problem with someone lying and trying to cheat me for a service that isn't required. I obtained an internet quote by requesting quotes from several dealers from Edmunds.com. Power Honda Costa Mesa was the first to respond with a clear and concise quote. I appreciated the fact that their quote listed exactly the car they were quoting, so I did not have to be concerned that they would spring a surprise on me once I got to the dealership- like telling me they did not know I wanted an automatic transmission... this happened to me at a different dealership. The salesperson was friendly and knowledgable. He explained the car's features in detail, but did not push too much information at me. He answered all my questions and showed me a picture of his dog when I shoed him a picture of mine. The general manager came over to chat about hockey while we waited a few minutes for the finance person. In finance, everything was explained clearly. She did not do any high pressured selling as I have experienced at a dealership in the past. She was also friendly and informative. I had a great experience and I would highly recommend this dealership. More
The customer service was outstanding, Bobby really helped me out and understood my situation. He could have charged me a lot more but trust is a huge issue with them and right from the start I felt like we h me out and understood my situation. Ty was persistent but not nagging and he put great effort in locating the color of the car I wanted. When he finally located the color of my choice, he drove all the way from Orange County to the Van Nuys ar in locating the color of the car I wanted. The guy the helped us, Lidio Valle, is extremely friendly and helpful. He is also very experienced, and when I asked about the problem with my trunk material, he pointed out us the most economic to do it and and helpful. I would say easily that this purchase was the best all around experience in buying a new vehicle I have ever had. Most dealerships as we all know, play alot of shell games with customers in this quest to confuse, manipulate, and wrestle a few dollars from the potential buyer. I saw zero of this kind of game playing from Bill or Power Honda. Bill was straight up with me from the beginning as was everyone I dealth with. I have always thought that a dealership who decided to do business this way would/should get return customers and referrals at a significantly higher rate. Surprisingly it seems almost no dealerships seem to get this. Most of them do this shell game on you until you are so mad you want to walk out (and I do) and of course I dont go back and I dont refer folks to them. Maybe those kinds of dealerships here and there make a little more on a given sale, but I have to think their volume has to be hurt dramatically by this. More
The salesperson, Mr. Faroqui was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He mentioned he would call us a couple days after the sale and he did. Mr. Pituch, the general sales manager, worked with us quite extensively to get us the deal we were comfortable with. We feel he went the extra yard; to accomodate our specific needs. This is the third time we have made a purchase with Power Honda Costa Mesa; needless to say, our past experiences were the reason we chose to return to this specific dealership. We are very happy with the sales force as well as those in the service department. Jean, in finance, was very pleasant as well. In our conversation with her we learned that she had only been with Power Honda for a few days, yet she was so knowlegeable and very, very pleasant. We plan to keep taking our cars and our business to Power Honda Costa Mesa. More
Habib was incredibly helpful when I came to look at cars. I was not sure what type of car I was looking for and after talking to me for a bit he suggested the CR-V. He was very patient with me as he answered my questions about the options for the car. I was impressed that he didn't hurry me. After driving the CR-V, I really liked it, but he suggested I look at several other Honda cars, also. I had previously driven quite a few non Honda cars elsewhere. Most of the other dealerships had guys that were pretty pushy, but Habib seemed like he really wanted me to be happy with whatever car I chose. I called Habib the next day to tell him I wanted to get the Honda in Blue. The next day he called with a price which I thought was quite good in comparison to the other Honda Dealers I had visited. He didn't have any on the lot, but said he would let me know when one came in. He called a few days later to tell me that he was expecting a Blue one to come in later that week. He even called me several times to let me know the status of things. When the car arrived I went to the dealership that same day. He filled out the paperwork and clearly told me what I was signing. The best part though, was that after all the paperwork was done he sat with me in the car for well over an hour showing me all the goodies and how they worked. I've never had anyone do that before when i purchased a car. What a patient man! In summary, I have nothing but praise for Habib and the others I had contact with at Costa Mesa Honda. Next time I get a new car I will go the same dealer! More
