I’ve been taking my car to be serviced at the Honda dealership where I purchased it since 1995. Here’s why. I got my car a “Star Smog Check” and it failed the emission part. (I might need a new ca dealership where I purchased it since 1995. Here’s why. I got my car a “Star Smog Check” and it failed the emission part. (I might need a new catalytic converter!!) (Up to $3,000??) I took it to the dealership for repair. I did not arrange for a ride home and told them this when I checked the car in. As I was settling down, John, approached me and said that they could not get to my car today. That he did not want me to worry about getting home. That he would personally see that I got a ride. (Since Covid they do not offer free rides home) So this was very magnanimous of him to say the least. Later I spoke with Lidio, my service adviser. He said he wanted to have my car re-evaluated. When I heard from him again my car had passed everything! It seems the first smog station had not warmed the engine adequately prior to testing and had gotten false results! When I picked up my car, I gave Lidio a big hug. There isn’t a better dealership than this one! There are no better people than here! More
Service advisor John was really friendly and helpful. My vehicle was brought in for a recall repair and service is was overdue for. Jose Velasquez did a fantastic job coordinating our repairs. He kept us informed, and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to use our extended warranty. He was even able to get us a loaner t repairs. He kept us informed, and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to use our extended warranty. I called in and made an appointment to drop my car off on a Saturday. The appointment time was 9:20AM. I dropped it off and they told me there was a very good chance my car would not be worked at because t a Saturday. The appointment time was 9:20AM. I dropped it off and they told me there was a very good chance my car would not be worked at because they were understaffed. I asked why I wasn't told that when I booked the appointment and they said that the call center is in another state and that they have problems with them overbooking this Costa Mesa location. Why waste my time booking an appointment if you are over booked on a weekend and can't get to all of your appointments? I was asked if I could drop off my car on a week day when it's less busy, but they don't have loaner cars to give out. Honda needs to stop overbooking appointments and actually communicate with the individual dealers. This was a total waste of my time. More
Generally I've had a good experience here. However, this time when I was waiting for my service rep, I think they forgot about me. I was standing outside for almost 15 minutes before someone came out when a time when I was waiting for my service rep, I think they forgot about me. Since the first time I brought my car in he he has been very helpful and accommodating, and goes the extra step to make sure I a and very personable.
