I thought my odds of getting this fixed quicker with Auto Nation was better. So, I left my vehicle behind. But, when he called me in the evening he said that only the engine light issue was diagnosed with a multi-point check. And a whole new diagnosis is needed for the grinding noise and will be done only on Monday. And that Andy will be working with me. On Monday, Andy said that noise was from the front wheel bearings and they need to be replaced. However, bearings were not available and could get done by Tuesday. I was charged $500 just for diagnosis of the issues. I had emailed Mike to share the following: 1) Details and cost of either of the diagnostics done. 2) A copy of the diagnostic checklist & results against each line item. Also, 3) Why were the diagnoses for both the reported issues not done by the committed timeline of 5 pm Saturday? It's over 2 weeks and I am waiting for a response. More

With the current market conditions where everyone is charging a markup, Autonation group is not charging anything on paper. However, that's not entirely true. Autonation Fremont (my car dealer) will forcefully stick you some accessories worth the market adjustment charged by other dealers and each item would be at a very high price. I bought a Honda Accord Hybrid Touring 2021. I had to buy accessories worth 3k (including tax approx.) which was otherwise way cheaper and/or not required. Just a small example.. All weather floor mats costs $173 on Honda's official website was charged at $600. Door edge protector which costs $45 was charged at $495 and $112 splash guard for $499. I really needed to get a car fast as I am physically challenged, had no other means of commuting and had to go for it. But be smart and don't fall into that trap. More
