Eddie gave me an estimate of an hour to an hour and a half wait, and it was an hour and 15 minutes so his estimate was correct! I knew I would be waiting at the dealership so that was fine with me. He wa half wait, and it was an hour and 15 minutes so his estimate was correct! I knew I would be waiting at the dealership so that was fine with me. He was super helpful towards me, answering any questions I had, but not making me feel belittled. I came in for an oil change and would go back again. More
My recent visit at AutoNation Honda was handled extremely well with Brian Russell in charge. This made it clear that I will continue using their services when needed. He offered me the shuttle service back to my house since my vehicle needed a couple other services that took about to three hours which I appreciated. I’ll give one star because the sales experience was fine, but I went through Costco so there wasn’t really any underhanded things they could have done. Brought the car in for its first oil change at 3000 mi but I went through Costco so there wasn’t really any underhanded things they could have done. Brought the car in for its first oil change at 3000 miles five hours later got the car back. At 4500 miles the maintenance minder went off, I checked the oil, filthy, about 4500 miles filthy. Took to private mechanic who concurred that the oil had not been changed 1500 miles before. No one at the dealer will return an email or a phone call. Honda Corp is hands off, you have to go after the dealer. Avoid this dealer, not trustworthy. If you bring the car for service they collect your money and don’t do the work. More
Worst experience I’ve ever had and dealt with in my life at Honda near O hare in Des Plains. I have a brand new car Honda Civic LX 2018, not even 10,000 miles on it, I have five free services to have since at Honda near O hare in Des Plains. I have a brand new car Honda Civic LX 2018, not even 10,000 miles on it, I have five free services to have since I bought a new car. I went last year to get a service and oil change I had no problem, was for free as they mentioned in my contract since I have five, only waited for an hour, easy peasy. I came early morning yesterday at 9am and mentioned to get only an oil change and to have my free service done, my car only needed maintenance B to be repaired, my mother picked me up because I have 7 months pregnant and they said it would take about over 2 hours. Through out the day it’s been almost five hours sis not hear anything from them. I tried calling 20 times to find out when my car can be picked up and to be finished up no answer at all, very frustrating. The customer service lady said it’s just best to come and have someone give you a ride and bring you here and find out yourself, so ridiculous. So I came back five hours later and the guy at the service desk that they added all these ridiculous charges to my vehicle that I DID NOT ASK FOR! Everything all together was $480! I don’t even have 10,000 miles on my car, super rude, stealing money away from me, applied to do things without my permission, very upsetting and they took advantage of me. My mom dropped my off and she came with me and yelled at the guy for doing that and he felt bad and gave me a 15% discount but still the total was $350, my free maintenance of oil change was suppose to be for FREE! Got screwed over and never ever coming back here again. Such a awful experience, no communication at all. So disappointing.....!!!! So much for Honda being truthful More

Unfortunate Experience 2011 Honda Odyssey was brought in for service for a defective piston ring. A known class action suit extended a warranty on this faulty part and they 2011 Honda Odyssey was brought in for service for a defective piston ring. A known class action suit extended a warranty on this faulty part and they took partial responsibility for this after keeping our vehicle for over 1 week to determine that Honda would pay for half of the repair. I would have loved if Honda national would have accepted full responsibility for the repair and that the process to get an answer for this should not have taken over a week. Extremely poor! After the repair, 2 engine bolts were left on our vehicle and likely caused a chip on our windshield as a result of this carelessness. The chip generated a cracked windshield that they did not the responsibility for. They said that they have been doing this for 19 years and this was not the cause. I completely disagree with their forensic analysis and believe that deductive reasoning would lead them to conclude that the damage occurred in their shop. They say that they are customer friendly and care about the consumer, but when it comes down to dollars, they really are just looking out for their bottom line. More
