When I purchased my Honda Civic in 2009, I somehow ended up without an owner's manual. Although I had not really needed it, I did feel that it would be a useful reference, so I mentioned it to Ryan when I a up without an owner's manual. Although I had not really needed it, I did feel that it would be a useful reference, so I mentioned it to Ryan when I arrived for a routine service visit. I also mentioned that I would be happy with either a printed copy or simply a URL link to a Web version of the manual. While I enjoyed a cup of coffee in the waiting room and made use of O'Hare Honda's wireless access to get some work done, Ryan was able to locate a PDF version of the manual and ultimately email it to me. When I left, not only had my service work been completely in a timely manner, I also had received the PDF file in my email, opened it, searched for and found an item of interest (how to program the automatic door locks). Thanks to Ryan's willingness to go above and beyond, I now have a copy of the manual on my PC as well as on a CD in the glove compartment of my car - better in many ways than having the printed version. I may copy it to my smart phone, as well. All around - a great job by this dealership and its staff! More
Though there are many repair shops in my area (and a Honda dealership in my town), I go out of my way to bring my Honda Element into O'Hare Honda for service. I purchased my Honda CRV in 2005 and have always had my oil changes and regular maintenance work done with their service dept because of the excellent service, accomodating and courteous employees, and the oil changes and regular maintenance work done with their service dept because of the excellent service, accomodating and courteous employees, and the cheerful waiting room. My most recent experience at O'Hare Honda was regarding a problem with my air conditioner. Greg, my service rep, spent the time to track down my service warranty and called the warranty company to find out if my air conditioning problem was covered. Greg also informed me that I was enttled to a 24 hour car rental which he would arrange for me to be picked up and brought to the rental company from O'Hare Honda. Greg told me that he would have the part needed to fix my air conditioning by 9:00 the next morning, so I decided not to use a rental. I dropped my car off the next morning and a very courteous employee drove me home. My car was fixed by 2:30 that afternoon. More
Ryan was very helpful. I had to go in for a recall on my Ridgeline. The job was supposed to be a half day but Ryan was able to get it done within 2 hours, since I needed my truck before noon. This dealership’s Service Department’s customer support is truly remarkable and SUPERLATIVE! To illustrate, I bought a new Odyssey from O’Hare Honda in 4/01 and now have about 70K miles on this vehic is truly remarkable and SUPERLATIVE! To illustrate, I bought a new Odyssey from O’Hare Honda in 4/01 and now have about 70K miles on this vehicle. While my wife was recently driving to FL, she noticed a problem with the transmission. En route, a local Honda dealer in TN confirmed that the transmission may be on its last leg. Following my research, I determined that there had been a class-action law suit filed involving transmissions of this same type of vehicle, and that as a result of which Honda extended the transmission warranty. However, in my case this extended warranty had already expired. I contacted O’Hare Honda’s Service Manager, Frank, for help and suggestions in this regard. Frank selfishly offered to contact his counter-part at the local FL dealership at my wife’s final destination, explain the problem, and ask for all courtesies and support that O’Hare Honda would extend to its customers. I was pleasantly surprised by this initiative and customer care, which is unfortunately quite rare these days. Frank did exactly as he had indicated, and the stage was set for my wife to have the appropriate work performed by the local FL dealer. Thanks to these efforts and O’Hare Honda’s diligent follow up, the transmission on my vehicle was replaced by the local dealer at a relatively nominal expense on my part, which has undoubtedly saved me several thousand dollars. Thank you Frank, and thank you O’Hare Honda! You have gained a loyal customer for life, and I hope many more similarly satisfied and grateful customers!! More
