I want to share my experience with AutoNation Honda in Sanford, FL. With I’ll never forget as long as I live. It’s began with the lie, continued with the lie and still now, I don’t know if it will end up with the truth. We decided to buy a car for our son for his 20 years bday. He find the “best” deal for the car he was looking for. That how we end up in the AutoNation Honda in Sanford, FL. His father came for this event from WA state. The car was posted for $28 479. As soon as we came the actual price of the car was $32 145. The sales person, Desmond Baldie, explained the price… gave us the estimate price that we came to agreement, it was $33 716. (See attachment) She said that we’ll have discount $1000 if we won’t pay off the car right away, but will go with credit line. We talked between each other and agreed to pay 1/2 of the price and take credit line for the another 1/2. We had experience with other dealerships before such as Mersedes of Portland, OR, Lexus, Toyota all those experiences was so pleasant, transparent and truthful to the penny. We used to trust dealerships, but this time…. So, we end up with the price of the car $33 716, with all the fees and taxes. Swallowed one lie…. We were invited to apply to the loan with Michael Rodrigues, in his office. He wasn’t working on the loan, he was MAKING us to buy a vehicle protection plan for an hour! After multiples “NO”s, he offer discount $1500, as a people who knows the math we thought $1000 discount plus $1500, we have promised discount of $2500, we can take this offer… as we counted in our mind we should end up with the price of $35 000. We said ok. He explained that we’ll receive contract on our e-mail and made us to sign contract through his notebook, where all we saw are the boxes to signatures. No numbers, no explanations! When I was asking simple questions about Manufacture guarantee of the car, or the final price, he was talking to me as I am the stupidest person on the planet. I even ask him, why you talking with me as I am stupid. He never explained the charges he includes in the contract, nothing! We didn’t know he included Honda car maintenance for $2664 And other charges. We didn’t have any clue that we end up with the price of the car of $40 906! With discount $1500 instead of $2500. Not a single number was discussed with us. Not $2664 Not $40906 Not balance due $22406 Not other charges of $749 When we came home and printed our contract we were shocked! No one, ever rubbed us that much! No spams, no scams. With insolence, with smile …. 2 month past, I can’t sleep. When the next day I came there and ask to see someone who can help and fix it for us, I was sent home, by manager Tom Krastel, with promise that tomorrow financial director will call me…. No one called me. I tried many time to reach Michael Rodrigues, never pick his phone, never call me back. Until I talked with sales person, Desmond Baldie, and was crying and explaining her what happened, she made him call next day. He was very surprised that I am not happy about his work. They gave me phone number where I can call and cancel the charges, plans etc. 5 times I called there, every time 2 hours on hold, every time the same guy answering on the 4th time he send me the paperwork to compleat and email back to him. Again, no respond, nothing, for a week. I called again, 2 hours on hold, he finally opened the email while he was with me on the phone and he said he accept the application…. But honestly, I don’t know if he did! He said wait for 7 weeks for this thing to be completed and done…. I live in this pool for lie, disrespect, humiliation for 2 month, not. Can’t sleep good, because, I don’t know if I’ll receive this $7000 back, that was stolen with the smile on the face from me. I have no words to describe my psychological state after this horrible More
I’m always pleased with Travis & the service department team. I have an old CR-V, a 2009. I appreciate having Travis to advise me on what needs to be done and especially trust him. Dealer refused to honor the 5 day guarantee and we had to get government agencies involved. Now they say it will be 7-10 days to get our money back. We paid with a certified check from the credit union. Buye get government agencies involved. Now they say it will be 7-10 days to get our money back.
