Service Director: Mislead us, Rude, Sarcastic and uncaring My car battery died in a rough part of Sanford, my partner met me at my stranded location in our other vehicle. My partner called Auto Nation spoke w My car battery died in a rough part of Sanford, my partner met me at my stranded location in our other vehicle. My partner called Auto Nation spoke with Service Director Don Mills, Mills advised he had battery in stock and quoted the price. So my partner went to Auto Nation Honda to pick up a new battery. I waited in the hot sun in a not so nice part of town for my partner to go and get battery and return. My partner called Don Mills he said he had a battery and quoted the price. When my partner got there Don Mills The Service Director said " he would have to test the battery in the car first before selling us a battery". We have purchased many batteries over the years and this simply was not true. Also The Service Director said he needed the old battery first. My partner drove all the way back to retrive the battery from the car to take it to him. Upon arrival with the dead battery Don Mills wanted us to bring the car in so he could test battery in the car. Well the car was dead so I waited 45 minutes for the tow truck and we had to have it towed to Auto Nation. When i arrived with the car at Auto Nation my partner informed me that Don Mills advised us that he assumed he had a battery but didnt. He would have to order one and it would be there tomorrow. I advised this is unacceptable he told us at the very beginning he he had a battery and even quoted us the price, not to mention he made us have the car towed there at our expense. He was rude and mislead us from the beginning. He said well "You can go to Wal-Mart and pick one up " sarcastically like we were beneath him. He didn't even give us our battery back, we had to wait for a piece of paper from him to take to parts to retrieve our battery. Parts department lost our battery and it took an additional 30 minutes for them to find it. When they returned it, We left and due to this Horrible experience and treatment from the Service Director we shall never return to Auto Nation Honda again. More

Skip Sage answered personally within 15 minutes and gave me some actual quotes. He was patient with my questions, and not pushy. So I dropped by to see him that afternoon. Even though the dealership was swamped, Skip made sure I was taken care of. And while I waited for the finance person to see me, he sat with me and we chatted away the time. Couldn't ask for a nicer guy. Rebecca in Finance also was a gem. Easily the most stress-free time I've spent in a finance department. It was great chatting with her too. Never felt I was being pressured or anything. So happy to have my new Accord. More

Being very happy with my first Honda vehicle, I walked in the front door knowing exactly the make/model I was looking for in my second. I was greeted by the sales consultant Andre Perez, who I would definitely recommend asking for by name if you are considering a stop by this location. While I already had a specific vehicle in mind, it had been quite awhile since I had purchased a new Honda, and Andre really took the time to walk me through all the changes and upgrades I would soon be enjoying. Once I was comfortable with my decision, I expressed to Andre that I already had my financing approved through a few different lenders (to keep my options open), and that I had a ballpark figure that I wanted to work around. After a brief discussion of what expectations I had in terms of moving forward, Andre took that information over to his Director of Sales, Matt Neusch, to get him involved and see what we could do. Matt joined in, and brought with him what I can only describe as a sense of "laid-back professionalism" to the whole "talking numbers" process. In the wrong hands, this part of the process can easily be quite stressful - but not with Matt! We went over the financing options I had already obtained, we talked about what price I was looking to pay (admittedly, quite a low-ball number), and we talked about what price I would feel comfortable with paying... and at no point did Matt allow this process to feel uncomfortable or high-pressured in the least! Talking numbers is a necessary part of the process, and he managed to work through the motions in a such a relaxed and conversational manner that it was over before I knew it. In the end, he not only found a price well between the margins of what I wanted to pay and what I was comfortable with paying, he also managed to beat all my other financing offers I had obtained! Once we were in agreement on a price, I moved onward to close everything up, which is where Mark Dowell now entered the mix. The amount of paperwork involved in a purchase of this caliber can be quite overwhelming, and that's even before you start reading into the fine print on half these things. Mark really made this portion of the process a breeze, and he did so on top of the fact that he was training a new hire (Rebecca, also very friendly) the whole time. A lot of this time is just spent double-checking that everything has been filled out and entered correctly into the computer, and thank god that he had a personality to fill that void with an entertaining conversation! Mark definitely had us laughing our way through the down time! And once everything was good to go, Mark then took the time to go over every piece of paper I had to sign, while more importantly, also making sure I understood everything as well. I'm no lawyer, but after that sit down, I could probably teach a class on all that legal jargon! At this point, the whole process was finished, and I was the happy owner of a new Honda! As I walked to my new car about to drive away, Mark, Matt and Andre were all there to shake my hand and see me off. And despite the fact that this was a done deal at this point, Andre STILL went the extra step of hopping in the car with me for a few minutes to help connect my iPhone to the new on-board systems, ensuring that I was taking full advantage of all the new features before I even left the lot! It has now been a few days since my purchase, and looking back at the whole process, I can definitely say without a doubt that AutoNation Honda Sanford has definitely got themselves a 5-star team. Hands down, this is THE dealership I would recommend to anyone and everyone looking to buy a Honda in the Central Florida area. Make sure to ask for Andre! More

Salesman said I have a great deal for you. I went to this dealership and didn't find anything so I left, my salesman Brian told me he would find a great deal for me and call me. I was very doubtful of this, but about three weeks later he called at 8pm and said he had a great deal on a civic si trade in but it wouldn't last. I was thinking its 8pm and they close at 9pm. Brian assured me the car was in great shape and told me not to wait. I drove 45 minutes up there and the car was actually better than what I had imagined so I bought it. It was a great experience as far as car buying goes. More

Had a good experience with our salesman Bill, he was friendly without being pushy. Met a lot of staff from the attractive general manager, accounting and service dept. i appreciated the fact that while friendly without being pushy. I had heard a crunching noise when I applied the brakes in my HONDA FIT 2012. I made an appointment at this dealership. When I arrived and drove into the garage, I got out of my car and stood there with no in my HONDA FIT 2012. I made an appointment at this dealership. When I arrived and drove into the garage, I got out of my car and stood there with no acknowledgement from anyone. All 10-12 guys were busy looking at their computer screens. I finally said, "excuse me" and Mr. Jenkins looked up and asked me if I had an appointment. I told him yes that I was there for brake pads and had a coupon for $99.50. He told me that it would be $250.00 because I had to have the rotors done, too, I didn't have the money for that but he said if I didn't get it done my car would shimmy. So I said go ahead. I also had a coupon for an oil change, tire rotation, safety inspection and car wash. After speaking to my daughter on the phone she told me not to get the rotors done, so I told Mr. Jenkins that. He said OK and about 20 minutes later he came jto me and said they couldn't do my brakes because they couldn't get the pads. They called around and couldn't find any except at Coggins Hondo 30 miles away. They finished the oil change but didn't do the car wash because I told them I had to get to West Palm for a family emergency. I was charged $41.25 for this job. I left and went home and called another brake business. I went to them and they told me for pads, rotors and bearing pack, $109.50. They started to work on my car and I went next door shopping. The manager of the business came into the store for me and told me, I didn't need brakes that my pads were fine. He told me it didn't appear that my tires had been rotated so I told them to do it. They asked me for the wheel lock key which I had at home. Mr Jenkins never asked my about the wheel key. I was SCAMMED by this business and will never return and will spread the word. I am a single woman in my 60's and certainly thought I could trust a dealer. Well, I was wrong, it's all about the money to the big companies. SHAME ON YOU HONDA AUTONATION SANFORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
I really had a very bad experience with this dealership. The sales rep was very nice and friendly but when we did not budge with the price he decided to get the finance person. When we said we cannot, just like that, he shook my hand said thanks with a BELITTLING look on his face and quickly turned around went to his office. I was shocked, the sales rep was surprised as well concerning what the finance person just did! I never felt so unimportant in my entire life until that day. I think if we were white we could have been treated better by this finance person. This is my worse experience ever. We went to previous dealerships before this one but those dealerships treated us very well. If you want to be belittled this is the dealership for you. Btw, we got a very good deal with another Honda dealership in Orlando with the royal treatment. To AutoNation, there a lot of better qualified people out there than this person. You can do better. FYI, sites such as Yelp filter reviews of real people. Hope this site is different. More
