I've dealt with Courtesy Honda for more than 15 years now, and this is the second new car that I've purchased from them. I'd never taken the previous car anywhere else for service, and they maintained it now, and this is the second new car that I've purchased from them. I'd never taken the previous car anywhere else for service, and they maintained it well enough that it was still very reliable even after 118,000 miles. These folks are easy to deal with, and they go beyond just knowledgeable - they're enthusiasts. I wanted something a little unusual this time - a Civic Si with a stick shift - and Brian worked over an extended period to get me what I wanted, keeping in touch @ regular intervals to tell me of progress (or lack of it!). I look forward to working with this dealership for many years with the new car. More
I went to Courtesy Honda just to test drive a vehicle. Sam showed me the car I was interested in and gave me some different choices. He definitely was a no pressure guy. I was in the market for a car to replace my old 2000 Daewoo car that blew up. I considered a used car but decided I wanted a brand new Honda Civic with a warranty. (I owned a used Honda many years ago and in my opinion Honda makes the most reliable car on the road anywhere). I sent 3 different Honda dealerships an email from their websites and Sam from Courtesy Honda replied to my email within a matter of minutes. Being reasonable I figured it should take an hour or 2 to get a reply. The other Honda dealerships did not reply to me for days which is unacceptable. I spent solid hour or more on Honda.com and on Edmunds.com doing a lot of reading and researched an assortment of cars. I decided the Honda Civic LX is what I wanted and could afford. After I was finished with my research I emailed Sam again and made an appointment to visit him. As soon as I met Sam we chit chatted about what I wanted and he showed me all the Honda Civics I wanted to look at and I decided on test driving the Civic EX because it had a sun roof and I figured if im going to buy a brand new car il try to get the one I really like. The test drive was fun and Sam answered the many questions I had about the car while I drove around with him. Sam was real easy to talk to and really worked with me to get me the EX model I wound up wanting. Mind you before I saw the EX model in person I originally wanted the LX model. The EX model has real wheels and not hub caps like the LX model, a premium sound system with a subwoofer, a motorized sun roof and some other features that I found very attractive. I came in with the intentions of wanting the LX model and had a set budget. I was paying cash so I believe this really helped me when we sat down and negotiated getting me into the Civic EX model - upgraded model. Moral of my story is I enjoyed working with Sam and got the car I wanted and within my cash budget. Within a few hours I was out the door driving the car I picked out and am very happy with my experience. If you are serious about buying a new or used Honda I suggest you spend some time on Honda.com and Edmunds.com which are very useful tools for researching Honda automobiles then after you have an idea of what you like then you visit Sam and talk to him about what you like and dislike. Richard, Charles (Whitley) and the store manager all worked with me to make my upgrade a seamless and "stress free" experience. Answered all of my questions, and gave me the best possible pricing (on my new car and trade in). Sammy in the finance department was also a pleasure to work with...this was my second car purchase through Courtesy, and I will not hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends. I have to admit I was hesitant when walking through the doors of Courtesy Honda. I had a 1.5 year old Accord and sadly was fast reaching a point where I could no longer drive it without pain. (I have a shoulder injury and the car was a manual.) I honestly didn't think I would be able to afford to trade it in and get another car. Courtesy worked with me to get a new Civic (which I absolutely love) - from giving me a generous trade in on my Accord to working with me to come up with a Civic price I could afford. Mark in finance helped me greatly when it came time to decide which additional packages (i.e., extended warranty) I should purchase. He explained the benefits of packages that both met my immediate and long-term needs and budget. He easily could have sold me products I wouldn't have needed, but he didn't. His honesty was refreshing to say the least. From a service perspective from my days with the Accord, I'd like to commend Mary Roe, my Service Adviser. She is top notch in terms of professionalism and communication. When it comes time to bring the Civic in for service, I will most definitely ask for her by name. More
