I have been dealing with Valencia Honda (now AutoNation Honda) since 1980 when I bought my first of 7 Hondas. The service at this dealership is slower than other Honda dealerships in the surrounding areas. Have bought and had serviced by this dealership 3 Hondas. Usually the service is 5 star. This time there was to be a Multi Point inspection performed. Well I brought my Ridgline in for a hood latch recall service and thought that I would have an oil change service at the same time. When I returned to pick it up my service advisor Nicholas said it was r service and thought that I would have an oil change service at the same time. When I returned to pick it up my service advisor Nicholas said it was ready and waiting for me. When I walked out to my truck I noticed a large black plastic panel lying in the bed of my truck so I went back and asked Nicholas to check it out. He was surprised like me and said the mechanic “forgot” to reinstall the part under the hood after he finished working on the hood latch. He then called the mechanic out to install the part correctly before I left. I would like to point out that Nicholas apologized and handled the situation very professionally. I drove away from there thinking “ wow they changed my oil also maybe I should check to see if he forgot to tighten the oil drain bolt or tighten the oil filter install!” Completely unacceptable to forget to reinstall parts on a vehicle! Anyways not sure that I’ll be returning for service at this location anymore… More
