AutoNation Hyundai Columbia

Took my Hyundai in for on oil change and to have them investigate/fix a whistling/whining noise that is heard only under acceleration. They claim they took it for a test drive and couldn't recreate it a investigate/fix a whistling/whining noise that is heard only under acceleration. They claim they took it for a test drive and couldn't recreate it and that an aftermarket oil filter was likely the culprit. Since my mileage in/out is the exact same, they either don't record keep that field or they didn't take it for a drive. I don't know why they say they couldn't recreate it. It is very apparent when driving. I am highly skeptical that an aftermarket oil filter would cause this. They claim it would provide non-spec oil pressure to the bearings. So I guess they are are saying that you always need to bring your car into Hyundai and always have them put in a dealer oil filter. But if that were all true, I would've expected the noise to go away or perhaps there is now permanent damage to my engine. If that were the case, then I'd suspect that there are many people driving around Hyundai's with aftermarket oil filters with whistling/whining noises and damaged bearings... I should've turned around when I left the lot to have them reinvestigate the noise they fixed, but I had to get to back work. On the positive side, the folks behind the desk are very friendly. It looks like I'll get to see them again when I have time to bring my Hyundai back for them to look at the noise again. More
