I had my 2013 Tucson towed to this dealership to avoid using a closer dealership that had previously proven to be less than honest in our dealings. The engine had a rod knocking and my regular mechanic had already checked it and determined it needed a new engine. I was aware of a settlement by Hyundai regarding engine problems of this type and had determined with Hyundai Customer Relations that the engine qualified for replacement under the extended warranty agreed to by Hyundai. I spoke with Ben Petit in the Service Dept. and explained the problem with the engine, what I knew from my regular mechanic (I do not live close to this dealership) and what I had been told by Hyundai Customer Relations. Ben was able to quickly determine that the engine did qualify under the extended warranty and explained to me the (time consuming) steps necessary to make a claim under the warranty. I left the car with the dealership on Dec 6th and picked it up on April 6. The engine had been replaced, under warranty, in less time than I had actually expected. I picked up the car and drove it home with a skeptical eye but found that the engine was running quite well. Needless to say, I am pleased with the service I received from this dealership, especially from Ben Petit, who never tried to evade responsibility for repairing my vehicle under warranty and apparently worked diligently to ensure it qualified for the repair at no charge to me. In this day, when so many dealerships seem to be untrustworthy, I found, at least in my case, this was not the practice of AutoNation Hyundai, I feel I was treated fairly, and the work appears to have been done correctly. I was having problems with my Santa Fe air conditioner not working properly. The dealership scheduled me in to analyze the problem four weeks out. Finally the day came to take to dealership where I was me not working properly. The dealership scheduled me in to analyze the problem four weeks out. Finally the day came to take to dealership where I was met by Aimee. She explained that the problem would have to reappear and sure enough when the car was in the shop the tech found the problem and fixed it under warranty. Happy cool customer here. More
Had to bring in my Sonata for two minor recalls on 3/17. While they were fixing those, had them check on the navigation and clock. The navigation system had me located about 15 miles from my actual location While they were fixing those, had them check on the navigation and clock. After a diagnostic test, it turns out my radio needed to be replaced. Here is where it gets complicated but William Carbone did an excellent job. I have an extended warranty thru CarMax which would take care of the replacement. After I made a call to check on the radio replacement, William was able to contact the service care center to start a claim. Everything was handled professionally, William kept me up to date on the claim/service. The radio had to be ordered and it arrived on Monday 3/28, got the appointment for 3/30 and the car was ready to pick up 3/31. I had zero issues and excellent service. I have brought in both of our Hyundai’s and will take them back. More
