Appraisal process and their influenced on how to score the survey I was asked to produce the registration form and keys to my trade in before the car was appraised. The sales person stapled the registration form to I was asked to produce the registration form and keys to my trade in before the car was appraised. The sales person stapled the registration form to a file and put the keys in the file as well. This happened before any sales discussion started and at this time my trade in was my car and did not belong to the dealership. I asked that my keys and registration be returned to me - they refused and said "this is the way we have always done it." We felt we were held captive and they were in control. It was a very awkward situation. I received an email asking me to score a 1000 on this survey and in return they would give me a tank full of gasoline when I wanted it. I refused. I have this email and my response to David Givens. We were in the dealership from 10 am to 4 pm. There seemed to be delay after delay. Our test drive was limited - they have an off site storage yard and we only drove the car from this area to the dealership - maybe 2 to 3 miles. We were supposed get a $50 gift card for taking a test drive. However, after the sales person asked us to apply for it (he didn't seem to know how to do this) the gift card offer had expired. So, we did not get the gift. More
