I came in to get an oil change and for an issue with my stereo. When I arrived I explained the issue with my stereo. They told me to take a video the next time it happens and bring it back in. I have always given a 5 star review for this dealerships service department. However, on this visit, I told our service writer that I was having problems getting my lift gate up on my Outback. Service was for routine oil/filter change. I specifically asked the service person Taylor to annotate I wanted synthetic oil as that was what was in the car. She stated that was standard. I asked again to put that on the service order but she stated that synthetic oil is standard. It is NOT for a 2011 Outback unless annotated on the work order so I ended up with conventional 5W30 oil. This is the 3rd time this has occurred at this dealership when I asked for synthetic oil. Synthetic oil is now standard on newer Outbacks (I also have a 2016 model) but not a 2011 model. Please update your service personnel. More
