I have a 2017 Forester which I purchased at the Roseville dealership. This is my third Subaru Forester. I have always been very pleased with their service department and staff. I was surprised on my last vis dealership. This is my third Subaru Forester. I have always been very pleased with their service department and staff. I was surprised on my last visit, on Wednesday, May 25th. In January 2022 my car was in the service department for a repair……..the key would get stuck in the ignition after turning off the car. I learned this was not an unusual problem. The repair was done and I was pleased. Last week it happened again. I contacted the dealer and set up an appointment. As usual the staff was polite.I dropped the car off about 9:15 and was told it would be ready about 4:00 pm. I asked if I could get a ride home as I have in the past (I live about 10 miles from the dealership). I was told they could take me home but not bring me back. Since I live alone that is a problem. Fortunately, I was able to find a friend to drive me back in the afternoon. I am disappointed with this new policy, especially since I purchased my car from their dealership. And this repair is most likely a “recall” issue. I still am happy with the service and staff at Roseville Subaru but am disappointed that a long time customer who has all their servicing done at this location , needs to find their own transportation to and from the dealership, especially if they live alone. I decided to try the new “drop in“ for an oil change instead of making an appointment this week. I was a little concerned that it might take longer without an appointment. I knew I wanted to purchase my car when the lease was to end, but it all got taken care of during my scheduled 24,000 mile service this week. So that’s 2 things off my to do list! I was met on time for my car service. My advisor Cody is always great. He is pleasant an courteous. I was in early, so my car was done quickly freeing up the rest of my day. During my service, a nail was discovered in one of my tires. It was removed and patched. In addition another issue was addressed, for which I will need to take my car back and leave for the day.
