Took car in for recall. Made appt online which was easy BUT trying to reach service advisor or get return call was impossible. I wanted to make sure they had on hand any parts/software for the recall before driving all the way over in rush hour traffic. I made four different calls at varying times during the day and could only listen to interminable Subaru ads while waiting for a person. One time reached a service advisor who said she'd look into it and put me on hold when I was immediately cut off. Twice I chose the option of a call back (and not "lose my place in the queue) and I never heard back. Finally, I left a recorded message to please text me back to tell me if they had everything needed for the recall work. Then 24 hours later as I'm driving away from the dealer after the two hour recall work (yes, I took a chance and went anyway), I get a text from "Jonathan" at the dealership, not with the answer I needed, but with the text saying I had requested a text from the dealership and was this OK to text me! So the work went fine but woe to anyone trying to reach this dealer on the phone or get a response. I even tried the online chat service they offer but, of course, it was only for scheduling and it couldn't answer my question. It recommended calling the service department!! More

Good communication from the dealership and working with Subaru of America to figure out my situation. Staff was ready for my appointment (Opening at 7:00 AM). Agent listened to my need to have appointment completed by 8:45 so I could make a doctor's appointment at 9:00. I also need to remind myself and Service that I have a maintainence plan, at time I set up appointment. When I picked up Key Fob, ordered ahead, because Auto Nation's key grinder had been down, agent said he would mail key to me as soon as grinder was up, and I got it 3 days later. Thank you. Your quality service is why I drive 390 miles round trip for my service. One comment: sometimes when I have called to set appointment or with a question (@key fob cost) phone answering sometimes takes - let's say - quite a while. I know staffing may have been limited due to Covid, etc. My bank has a phone service (on recording) whereby they take my number and put me in the caller que, and call me back. Just a suggestion. More
I always have positive encounters with AutoNation Subaru West, from the day I purchased my brand new 2015 Subaru Outback right up to today when I went there for a regular service and oil change.
