Buyer beware with Auto Nation Ft. Myers; the salesman really earns the title of a used car salesman. I purchased a new Highlander and with an appointment to sign the papers at 11 am a Myers; the salesman really earns the title of a used car salesman. I purchased a new Highlander and with an appointment to sign the papers at 11 am after traveling 3 hours to their location they made me wait for 3 hours to see the finance manager on a cash deal to only try to sell me an extended warranty. Every thig the salesmen said was different in the finance office. More
The service department leaves a lot to be desired. I brought my vehicle in for some recalls they told me on the phone that I have to schedule it a little further out so they could order the part when I brought my vehicle in for some recalls they told me on the phone that I have to schedule it a little further out so they could order the part when I got there two weeks after I called in to schedule they did not have the parts I was told they do not order the parts until they make sure we bring the vehicle in and I could not have my vehicle back since it was a safety recall and they could not give me an ETA on when they would have the part. So I had to takeoff work go down there get a rental vehicle and wait for my car to be completed. The day it was completed I go return the rental pick up my keys and I see there’s a golf cart going around getting cars so I ask where my car is and they said somewhere out in the parking lot I would have thought since it was pouring down rain and storming and the parking lot was flooded over your ankles that someone would’ve brought the vehicle to the service area overhang but no I sat and waited for a little while but the rain was not going to stop so I had to go out in their parking lot and start searching up the isles for my vehicle because no one knew where they had left it. I finally found it all the way closer to the new car building bottom of my pants were wet I am drenched and had to go back to work. Service department really needs some customer service skills. I was very surprised to have this experience at a Toyota dealership because usually Toyota is known for good Service. More
Autonation Toyota should be called "Bait and Switch. " I'm in my 40s and this is the *worst* car-buying experience I've ever had. When negotiating the price of the car (which I wasn't even expect " I'm in my 40s and this is the *worst* car-buying experience I've ever had. When negotiating the price of the car (which I wasn't even expecting a discount) the price they offer to sell you the car for was reneged twice. Once I agreed to the price offered to me - the manager came in and said - no, we cannot do that. Then once I agreed to a *higher price* from Austin the manager, the new price was reneged AGAIN. I've never felt more personally insulted. Toyota Sedans are in high demand - I get it. Autonation literally does not care if you walk out or not, they will sell the car to someone. I have never felt less valued as a customer in my life. It is a bunch of mindless walking around. I had the choice to walk out. But I love Toyotas and wanted that car. Sadly, they are the only game in town. I will NOT make this mistake again. Once they FINALLY take you to "financing" - AKA "finance manager" the stuff salesman told you (and his manager) no longer applies. The F.M. tries to rake you over the coals, again. Everything is a complete lie. Including trying to "double-sell" you for an extended maintenance plan. Be careful if your car has the "toyotaGuard Platinum Package" they will try to double sell you extra add-ons that this package ALREADY HAS. The F.M. was a complete snake. He tried to tell me paying cash for a car instead of paying 10.99% interest was a "bad decision." Are you kidding me?? You'd have to be braindead to pay 10.99% interest and also braindead to give this dealership the HUGE interest rate kickback from the bank. I wasn't even planning to write this review...I was over it and I don't have time for such things. **Until today** when I asked to receive my 2nd keyfob (which had a delay due to a chip shortage - I get it). However, today over 6 weeks after the sale, I was told "YOU DEAL WITH IT, YOU CALL TOYOTA" The only reason I am giving this 2 starts (instead of one) is because I love the car. Toyota Sedans are awesome. However, this dealer is HORRIBLE, and It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. This is a management problem. It's easy to blame the drones (Orlando and Austin)... Autonation needs a serious management shakeup and some serious customer service training. I hope this helps someone avoid a hassle - that's my goal. More
