I scheduled my Highlander for an oil change on Friday, November 11, 2022, after I saw the promotion online for $74.95. However, after I arrived at AutoNation Toyota at 8:11am PST for the oil change, serv November 11, 2022, after I saw the promotion online for $74.95. However, after I arrived at AutoNation Toyota at 8:11am PST for the oil change, service advisor Braulio acted dumb about the oil change promotion and gave me a quote for $129. I reminded him that I made the reservation online because there was a special oil change promotion but he again played ignorant about any promotions. After I received the initial printed quote from Braulio for $129 and an estimated time for 10am, I went to the customer service area waiting room and found the online promotion for oil changes on the AutoNation web site. I quickly returned to Braulio and showed him the promotion on my phone. Braulio said it was my responsibility to show him the promotion. He then asked me to email him the promotion so he could print it out. I told him that I did not know how to email it from my phone but Braulio still insisted that I send him the promotion. Afterwards, I left his cubicle and spoke to the female service manager a couple of cubicles down. I told the service manager that I scheduled an appointment online and Braulio’s request that I email him the online promotion. I reminded the service manager that the online promotion states that a customer must present it OR can request the promotion. It doesn’t say to email it. Furthermore, I reminded her that the promotion is online for everyone, not exclusively for me, so if Braulio wanted a coupon, he can print it out himself. It should not be the customer’s responsibility to email it to him. The service manager informed me that she would have Braulio take care of the coupon. I think all the above occurred before 8:25am PST. In addition to the above, I also want to address the wait time. I was given an estimated time of 10am but I didn’t get my vehicle until 10:20am PST. I ONLY got my vehicle back after I grew tired of waiting and went to Braulio’s cubicle at approximately 10:15am PST to inquire about it. I wonder how long I would remain in the service waiting room if I did not take the initiative to ask for my vehicle. Braulio claimed that he had only received the service mechanic videos a few minutes before I arrived at his cubicle to ask for my vehicle. I can understand that wait times could take longer due to unforeseen reasons and other unexpected repairs. I was there for an oil change. I saw other customers while sitting in the service waiting area who came in after me depart before I did. I have my suspicions that Braulio was not very truthful about the time he actually received the service technician videos. I doubt the videos actually were sent after 10am PST as Braulio had claimed. When I got my vehicle back it was not washed and the window washer fluid not topped off. (Please accept my apologies in advance if these services are no longer offer). More
The service department gets me in and out fairly quickly, considering the number of vehicles they service. Also, they explain any additional work that might need to be done and let me know what's vital and w considering the number of vehicles they service. I was greeted with a a happy smile and an authentic welcome immediately. By the time I was getting out of my car, I was greeted by Oscar who walked me through the service I was getting. I told him abou welcome immediately. By the time I was getting out of my car, I was greeted by Oscar who walked me through the service I was getting. I told him about the ‘faulty’ tire alert, he promised to take care of it and I was on my way to a lovely hot chocolate. Later, Oscar came into the waiting area to tell me the tire alert wasn’t faulty, that my tire needed a plug. Later, I received a video email from Oscar telling me that my car was in good shape, the service had been performed, as well as the plug in my tire…I was so pleased with the video, I sent it to my son, so he knew how I had been taken care of! I have been coming to AutoNation for years for my cars and, hands down, this was the best service I have ever received. It was flooding outside, but Oscar brought sunshine into my day! He was with me all the way, treating me like an important customer! Thank you! More
