Initial 5000 mile / 6 month service visit. Appointment scheduled in advance. Disappointed that service visit took almost 4 hours, due to recent Toyota recall notice. I tried to find the servic Appointment scheduled in advance. Disappointed that service visit took almost 4 hours, due to recent Toyota recall notice. I tried to find the service advisor after 3 hour wait. Could not find her. It would be nice to be updated during my long wait. It would be nice to run my vehicle through their car wash, like they did in the past. More
My wife and I had been looking for a Toyota 4Runner for atleast a month or so, and have traveled to multiple Toyota dealerships because we wanted a certified pre owned vehicle that we knew we could depend atleast a month or so, and have traveled to multiple Toyota dealerships because we wanted a certified pre owned vehicle that we knew we could depend on. Unfortunately for us our search happened during a time that we knew inflation was bad and inventory was low and Autonation was the last place we looked because of how far it was from us. They had 2 vehicles in stock that fit what we were looking for and the vehicle we came to see was posted for somewhere around $35k. We came and saw the 4Runner and we liked it so we asked for the price, they told us it would be around $39k!!!! Mind you this vehicle has over 60,000 miles, was involved in an accident, had history of being a rental vehicle, and only came with one key not to mention it is a base model. Now once again I will say that this is partially because of inflation and because supply is tight and I get that. We never expected to walk in and have a vehicle handed to us, but when we tried to negotiate that’s when things really turned sour in my opinion. We dealt with 3 people who I can recall and that was Drew, Carla and Luis. The day we came in to tell them that we wanted the vehicle I first asked Carla after looking at the vehicle final time if we could take $500 off of the price when she said no I asked if we could speak to her manager which turned out to be Luis, he told me he could do $200 off to which I said can we at least try for 500 and if not I will take the 200 he walked away and then came back and said we can’t do the 500 and now I can’t do the 200 either but I can do 100 off I then asked him if I could still take the 200 off he walked away and then came back and then said we will not be taking anything off of the price. We also heard a very loud laugh either the first or second time that he walked away which I cannot confirm if it had anything to do with our purchase but it still felt pretty insulting to us. They would not negotiate on price whatsoever despite the fact that they are clearly a very successful and large volume dealer I know that a lot of people negotiate much larger numbers but they would not even consider taking $500 off of an almost $40,000 purchase. I did not enjoy the service that me or my wife received and neither did she I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this dealer ever nor will I ever return to do business with them in anyway shape or form if you are reading through opinions and reviews I would highly recommend that you take my experience into account because I can’t imagine that yours would be much different from mine. Based on my experience it appears to me that they expect you to walk in and pay whatever they are asking no questions asked. Buyer beware. More
