My experience with Autonation as a whole has been the absolute worst. I would never purchase a car from any dealership affiliated with this company ever again. I did a long distance transaction, meaning absolute worst. I would never purchase a car from any dealership affiliated with this company ever again. I did a long distance transaction, meaning I bought the car while living in a different state. The car was delivered to me with maintenance issues. Had I been able to test drive, I wouldn’t have purchased. It took a month for them to even consider covering the maintenance being that it existed prior to me receiving the car. Once we actually were able to arrange for the car to get fixed with an Autonation dealership in Columbia, SC , these people held on to my car for 7 WEEKS only to fix ONE of the few issues that needed to be addressed. Not only that, it was extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone, I was never updated on anything which prolonged the process and everyone acted so annoyed with me constantly calling to get updates on my vehicle. My first car buying experience was a total disaster due to everyone’s poor customer service and lack of communication. More

Giving three stars today because this is my second vehicle transaction with this dealership. The salesman was extremely pleasant and helpful and he knew I knew what I was interested in looking at that vehicle transaction with this dealership. The reason for only three stars is because after my accident in November I purchased a CRV from this dealership. In those 8 months I only put 2k miles on the car, yet when I went to trade it in, the finance department gave me back well below the KBB value of the car as a trade in for the Corolla I was purchasing that day. I wanted to stay within the range I was currently paying and although they got somewhat close, it is still more money. All of these numbers are flexible. They could have offered me a more fait price for the CRV or taken down the price of the Corolla so I could meet the current payment price I was paying. Instead, when I said I would just take the CRV and sell it myself to an individual, they did come up a tiny bit on the price they offered me for trade-in. I do not have any regrets with the purchase of the Corolla, but I do wish I had left and simply sold the CRV myself. I would have gotten a better deal and would be paying less. Additionally, the monthly payments are more than the amount the finance person told me they would be. More
