My service writer, Alberto was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He recognized that I was apprehensive due to my previous experiences and made me feel comfortable by explaining what was being done without being condescending. He made recommendations without pressuring me and kept me apprised of the progress of my car. I am pleased with the work and will be returning for any future needs. More

My wife took her Toyota Highlander (2012) for an oil change on 12/17/2022. 4 days later she realized that the car was leaking oil, so she went back to Toyota of Weston on 12/24/2022. The maintenance rep change on 12/17/2022. 4 days later she realized that the car was leaking oil, so she went back to Toyota of Weston on 12/24/2022. The maintenance representative told her that it was leaking from the oil pan gasket, my wife questioned the diagnostic since it wasn't leaking before the oil change, and they never mentioned anything to her verbally or in writing the day that she changed the oil. Then the representative gave her an estimate of $3000 to fix it and on the estimate he wrote that the oil leak was found on 12/17 during the oil change, and that they notified my wife, but she declined the repair, which is a complete fabrication. My wife decided to take the car to Tire Kingdom in Cooper City for a second opinion and they discovered that the drain plug was replaced at Toyota of Weston and they put the wrong plug and this was the cause of the leak. Tire Kingdom change the oil again and replaced the plug with the correct one and the car was fixed. We went back to Toyota of Weston on 12/26 and after speaking to a manager we received a refund for the oil change that they performed on 12/17. We are very disappointed with how dishonest the representative from Toyota was while handling the situation. Instead of recognizing that the cause of the leak was that they lost or misplaced the original drain plug and replaced it with a wrong plug, they made up a story about the oil pan gasket and then lied on the report when he said that there was a leak before they changed the oil all this while trying to get $3,000 for a repair that was never needed. Needless to say we won't be taking our car to Toyota of Weston for service again. More
