When searching for a vehicle, i did a lot of research to find the right one. I have a 5 month old baby and wanted to get a Sedan or SUV. I saw an incredible deal on a Toyota Rav4 at Courtesy Toyota of Winte find the right one. I have a 5 month old baby and wanted to get a Sedan or SUV. I saw an incredible deal on a Toyota Rav4 at Courtesy Toyota of Winter Park. I live in Tampa, which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive away. So I called in the A.M. to confirm that the price was correct and that the vehicle was still available. The person answering the phone said it was correct and was still available. I drove the distance with my baby in tow. I arrived and the vehicle was already in front and they were waiting for me. Upon seeing it I knew it was mine. The test drive was just dessert. It was a great deal. Then when we sat down I told them I already had financing from my credit union. They had approved me at a 6.99% with no money down. I was approved for exactly the advertised price plus tax, tag and transfer. The sales person came back and said 'sorry, but the price was wrong. We advertised it wrong. It is actually $2000 more than what it says. We're sorry, but we are in this business to make money and aren't going to give the vehicle away." WHAT ???!!!! I was so upset. But it was a good deal at $2000 more. But my credit union (Grow Financial) was closed by this time. So Finance came out and offered to see what their lenders would say. They came back with a 26.99% and $1000 down. This was excluding the bumper to bumper warranty and any extended coverage as advertised. I was so upset. Then the Finance Manager said I could close and then go to my bank the next day and refinance it. I asked if he was sure. He said he does it all the time. Reluctantly, I closed. The next day I went to Grow Financial and they said they couldn't refinance me for 6 months and that Courtesy Toyota of Winter Park was "well aware of this" and that "they do this to people all the time." The lender Courtesy found me (Santander) pays kick backs to the dealership, but they don't get the kickback if refinanced within 6 months. Since Grow has a business relationship with Santander, they respectfully don't refinance for 6 months so that all involved are pleased. My bank said they'd close on my financing directly to Courtesy within an hour of my call, but that Courtesy would have to contact Santander to rescind the transaction, which was possible if they hdn't yet funded. I called Santander and they had not yet funded. So I called Courtesy and not one person in the entire establishment knew how to call the lender to rescind. I called the sales manager, the finance manager, the salesperson, and anyone who would listen. But as the Finance man who took care of me the day before was off, there was nothing they could do. So, when they could have helped me fix the entire horrible screw job, they chose to screw me again. Groe Financial did, in fact, close for me and had the funds available for Courtesy to claim, but they never did. Needless to say the payment difference between a 26.99% and a 6.99% is significant, even for 6 months. And furthermore, my lender was giving me 100% financing and would have reimbursed me the $1000 that I had to pay upfront with Santander. Overall, Courtesy did nothing to accomodate me. The can of Coca Cola was the best part of the experience. But it ended up costing me over $4000. False advertising and an entire team that acted like they were doing me a favor. I will never recommend this place or their people again. They were condescending and unaccomodating. They were strictly "in the business to make money" and that is sad. I thought they were in the business of servicing clients and earning business......that's a better way to make long term money in my experience. More

The service was completed timely and in a great manner. Jason and other staff members, including the shuttle person were very friendly and helpful. Send inquiry via internet, dealer responded one time. I called 4 times and left messages. I received no call back. So I called to ask for a manager and the gal that answered the phone acted like I was dumb called 4 times and left messages. I received no call back. Some guy answered, I told him I would be able to make a deal that day if they took off the appearance protection and theft protection (which are just a way for the dealer to make more $$$$). They refused then I asked if they would work with me on the price for them ($800) he's response was I will call you back in 5 min. almost 3 hours later he calls back, but it was too late another dealer worked with me and we struck a deal. Too back your not very Courteous, leave me hanging ill go behind your back and make my own deal. To be honest you have the exact car I wanted too at a better price. Just so I would not have to deal with slim xxxxx like these guys I forked over 3,000 dollars extra granted the car I got has half the miles and is CPO but what ever losers! More

Bob Lavin was waiting for me in the parking lot when I arrived. He greeted me as if I were an old friend and by the time I left with my new Prius, I felt that I WAS an old friend. This is the friendliest dealership with which I have ever dealt. I used the COSTCO Buying Service, so I didn't have to negotiate the price. I thought, for sure, they were going to make it up on the trade. However, they actually gave me MORE that I expected to get for my old car. I have already recommended Courtesy Toyoto to several of my friends and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great buying experience. If the other salespeople are anything like Bob Lavin, this has got to be the greatest dealership in Florida. More
