The purchase process was fine. I had my own financing, however the dealer offered a better deal and I took it. The warranty offered is also super. The sales person seemed nice, als I had my own financing, however the dealer offered a better deal and I took it. The warranty offered is also super. The sales person seemed nice, also the finance manager who helped me close the deal, however I had a surprise. While in the parking lot checking the vehicle I liked, salesman asked if I wanted to add services like dent protection and a protective coat for the paint. I declined both of them. When we got to the point where I had to sign the agreement with the financing terms, all looked good so I did and went straight to the finance person to close the deal. Of course he did not explain that both of the services I declined were added to my loan, also he offered what they call gap+ wich I took because the payment was like $35 extra every month and covered a bunch of other stuffs, however he did not explain the amount that was gonna be added to the loan. I should have done the math but it was late and I had been at the dealership for several hours. So finally I closed the deal and went home. While checking the contract papers I had the surprise of the declined services added to my loan ( btw, they use tricky names for the services added so you don't know what they are) plus almost $1700 for the gap+. I called the salesman and he said he had left the dealership and that he was gonna text me once he had talked to the finance guy. Of course, that never happened. Also conacted the dealer via chat and they said someone was gonna call, that never happened eather. So the outcome is I had to return to the dealership. Thanks God I was able to cancel the dent protection and the gap+, however the coat protection for the paint NO ($599) as they said the product was applied to the car in the prep process before deliver. So basically I was forced to pay for something I declined. I get they want to make money as any other dealership dealership, also it is not a personal matter with the salesman and finance manager, however I firmly believe they can make money by not tricking customers. So, my advise is: please be aware and read all docs before signing them and ask questions, make sure they are charging you for what you agreed. Also do your math. More
Sales was wonderful, they work well together as a team and took wonderful care of me and my family. Patrick Buckley in particular was awesome through the whole process, as was Juan Carlos in finance! I had met with an accident unfortunately WITHOUT my fault and though the collision service dealer did the job of repair/replacement; it was NOT complete, and it was jeopardizing the safety of the car; but wh and though the collision service dealer did the job of repair/replacement; it was NOT complete, and it was jeopardizing the safety of the car; but when I approached the AutoNation Toyota and explained the incomplete work done elsewhere; Jean (advisor) was NOT only helpful, but he managed to fix the work; get the complete health check & diagnostics done and I could trust the report.
