I am very sorry for your experience and the issues you had with your VW Jetta. We tried very hard to address your issues and helped you out in the following ways: 1. Your first problem was a flat tire, which at time of delivery was not an issue - upon inspection of the tire that went flat we found a screw in that tire, we fixed the flat tire at no charge to you. I know it happened very quickly after you took delivery of your car, but unfortunately road hazards exist and are problems for all cars and drivers. 2. Secondly you reported a problem starting the car, upon inspection and diagnosis the problem was simply that the battery had discharged, we performed a battery test and re-charged your battery and provided you a test report showing the battery to be in good working order, again at no charge to you. It appears that since that battery tested well and charged well that the reason the battery was dead was the result of something being left on. We also offered to replace your batter at no charge to you if the battery remains an issue. 3. At the time of delivery there was no evidence of any oil leak from the oil pan or any other area of the engine. Prior to your purchase we inspected the vehicle and found no damage to the oil pan. After inspecting the under carriage of your vehicle we did find evidence of fresh damage indicating that the car had sustained some sort of impact to the underside of the vehicle. The oil pan having sustained an impact causing it to crack and leak oil extensively. We inspected your vehicle and provided cost estimates to repair the damage. 4. As far as trading you out of the Jetta we are more than willing to explore any car on the lot, however, given the budget that you gave us the Cruz was the only car we had in inventory that fit your budget along with the type of car you were interested in. I would like to extend an invitation to you to try and resolve your issues to your satisfaction again, please call me personally. Marc Renjard - GM 719-985-8000

I appreciate the response and nothing was said out of disrespect. I won't change my opinion about the dealership however. I just happened to have been out of luck and at the time; frustrated. The actual problem with starting my Jetta was that the fuel pump was not working. An Army mechanic was walking outside by my parking lot and he immediately mentioned that there was an issue with the fuel intake just by hearing the whistling noise it was making. Again, it took me: -750$ to fix the fuel pump. -50$ to diagnose the problem in the first place (by Meineki). -240$ to replace the oil pan and oil filter as well as engine oil. -110$ to tow my car back to your dealership. -50$ to tow it to Meineki after driving it home (after the dealership somehow started my car which had problems starting). Next to these fixes, I had to replace the emissions sensor, spark plugs, coolant temperature sensor and some faulty wires. I bought the left rear view mirror and replaced it and gave it a nice shampoo vacuuming after fixing it. It was totally not the case that my car had a problem with the battery. It died after starting up my car when I was investigating what the problem may have been. It was pure frustration until the Army mechanic helped me out. It took no effort for him to diagnose the issue. What's more is that all it took were his ears. It was dead when I found it on the parking lot before the salesman jump started it. That was not a big deal to me, it happens.... Here are the first three times it ran after I bought it: -When I test drove it. -When I dove it home. -And when I drove my girlfriend to a restaurant and back. It was out of pure luck and thank goodness it stopped working when I dropped my girlfriend back at my house. I cannot stress the fact that I added 50 miles to my car after buying it before everything went down hill. The issue with my car was that it started when it wanted to. It may have had some starting problems before I bought it. I'm actually sure of it since the fuel pump was very worn out when I took it out. I took it to an auto craft center, ordered a fuel pump from California had Meineki replaced it since I did not have specialty tools. Now my car is in good working condition and I absolutely love it! But I have to sell it because yes, I prefer not spending too much money unless I have to. It took about 1250$ to fix it. I have the receipts and everything I replaced. It was not even the cost of repair that upset me. It's not even about how angry I was about how everything turned out. I did after all buy the car and it was my mistake to live with. At the end of the day, I too wish that you would have helped me instead of having me dig deep into my pocket since yes, I was on a budget. I took care of my car since the very minute I bought it. After putting so much so much work into my car, I just have to brush my shoulders off when I'm told that I broke it. It's all I can do anyways.
