We were lied to and misled. We told everyone we spoke to we were cash buyers and would not finance unless we could pay the vehicle off without interest when the first statement We told everyone we spoke to we were cash buyers and would not finance unless we could pay the vehicle off without interest when the first statement came in the mail. We were assured numerous times by everyone involved and specifically Isreal Paniaqua that we would not incur any interest. The first bill arrived 40 days after purchase and there was $385 of interest. We spoke with AN Finance who was rude and disrespectful. They refused to remove the interest and they were condescending. This was Maria, Marissa and another girl. They suggested we talk with corporate. When we spoke with corporate, Natalie said she had no ability to do anything with billing and called the Plano TX location to speak with the manager Mark Polito. She was never able to get ahold of him. I have called AN Plano TX numerous times and got no answer. I left VMs that haven't been returned AN Finance explained to me that there would have been absolutely no way to avoid interest even if I wanted to pay off the very next day as it takes 2-3 weeks for an account to be created. Therefore, I am forced to pay the first month of interest. This was never disclosed. This was never in our contract. This was never part of the terms I agreed to, signed and consented to. This is illegal and fraudulent. I will be reporting this to the BBB. AN robbed me of $400. Additionally, the vehicle was advertised with "new brakes" but when I had my mechanic inspect the vehicle they did NOT find any new brake parts. Again, this is illegal and fraudulent. This too will be reported to the BBB. AN claims "all calls are recorded for QA." Go listen for yourself. More

Would never consider dealing with them again. We have purchased numerous vehicles and have never had a more unprofessional and dishonest experience. Read every line and NEVER trust anything verb We have purchased numerous vehicles and have never had a more unprofessional and dishonest experience. Read every line and NEVER trust anything verbally committed to by the financing people. They rushed with electronic signatures that didn't match the verbal agreements made. This was unnoticed by us- very small electronic print and quick process. Our ignorance trusting the rep and for not reading it carefully. Didn't even receive electronic copy to review for 2 weeks. When reviewed we noticed it was completely different than what was verbalized. Now going through weeks of tedious processes to cancel numerous add ons (over $14,000) and will have to refinance correctly. More
This was a great experience all around! We did our homework on the car we wanted and couldn’t have found a place that made it easier to buy. Beware! ! Bought a car 3 days ago and they gave me a “valet” key of some sort. Can not open glove, trunk or doors. I can’t use any smart features like remote ! Bought a car 3 days ago and they gave me a “valet” key of some sort. Can not open glove, trunk or doors. I can’t use any smart features like remote start, parking assist, keyless go. When I called they said nothing they can do because I drove it off the lot. Not good business practice to sell a car without a real key that preforms the features. More
My honest experience with AutoNation Plano: From the beginning to now, it has been a complete roller coaster. I went from feeling like a valued customer to feeling completely dismissed. This is my perso beginning to now, it has been a complete roller coaster. I went from feeling like a valued customer to feeling completely dismissed. This is my personal experience, but I believe in accountability. I purchased a 2018 F150 Platinum from this location in June 2025. My initial interaction with Josh was disappointing, but Luis, the general manager, worked hard to make the deal happen and gave me a solid value on my trade-in. At that point, I genuinely felt taken care of. But immediately after taking the truck home, problems surfaced that their inspection clearly missed. Both the oil pan and rear differential were leaking. I returned under the 90-day warranty. The differential was fixed, but the oil pan leak continued and got worse. Every time I tried to bring it back, I was told: “Service is slammed. We have over 100 vehicles ahead of you. Try again next week.” This went on for weeks. Then the title and registration issues began. For 3 months, I never received my plates. Every time I asked, I heard: “These things take time. We’ll call you back.” No one ever called back. Eventually I contacted the DMV myself and discovered the vehicle wasn’t even titled or registered in my name — it had been transferred to the previous owner months after I bought it. Only after the State, my lender, and corporate got involved did AutoNation finally fix the issue. 3,000 miles after purchase, the transmission failed completely. I had the truck towed to AutoNation Plano, confident the Gold Warranty would help. Instead, I’ve been left completely in the dark. A full week with no updates, no diagnosis, no call back, and no help with a loaner or rental. Every attempt to reach someone has gone nowhere. I’ve been without a vehicle for days while still obligated on a $32,000+ loan — and have felt stranded and ignored by the entire service department. In my experience, this dealership is not transparent, does not communicate, and does not stand behind their customers once the sale is complete. We are now looking into our legal options, and I sincerely hope nobody else goes through what we did. More
The day after I sold the car, I would have given AUtoNation 4 stars. But, they flat lied to me. When I asked them point blank if I needed to removed plates, they said the plates would be removed (b AUtoNation 4 stars. But, they flat lied to me. When I asked them point blank if I needed to removed plates, they said the plates would be removed (by them) before the car moved. They were not. About a week after the sale, I got a toll bill (zipcash from NTTA) for $7.72. I was peeved, but it was small. They still would have gotten 3 stars. Just today, one month later, I got another zip cash bill from NTTA, for $8.16. My only mistake was believing that AutoNation was a reputable business that would not jeopardize their reputation for a few bucks. So, now they get a single star and I'll be writing Dave Lieber at the Dallas Morning News to see if he'll do a column on this deceptive behavior. More
