We purchased a Ford Fusion from AutoNation and purchased the extended warranty. The A/C stopped working and we took it to this company to have the warrant work done. They "fixed" the problem and about a y the extended warranty. The A/C stopped working and we took it to this company to have the warrant work done. They "fixed" the problem and about a year later, the A/C stopped working again. We again took it back as it was still under warrant. They kept the car for three days and said after the three days that there was contaminates in the system and they wouldn't work on it. Now we had taken it to them every time the A/C stopped working as its under warranty, but now they washed their hands of it and they are the only people who worked on the A/C of the car. We took it to an A/C repair shop and after one hour not three days, they said the compressor was leaking and was junk. This is the used compressor AutoNation had replaced on the first warranty repair. We didn't know they put used junk parts in the cars when they do warranty service, but apparently that's what they do. The A/C repair shop ordered a new Motorcraft A/C compressor and fixed the issue at a cost of $1600. The Ford AutoNation did not honor the warranty that was paid for and they put used low grade parts in the car and then blamed us for the contaminates in the system. I would strongly recommend not purchasing a car from them and definitely not buy a warranty that they wont honor. Also, google reviews are at 4.5 but every other rating systems has them in the area of 2.5, which is more fitting for the way they do business. More
Bait-and-Switch Experience with AutoNation’s “Certified Offer” My husband received a written Certified Offer from AutoNation for $37,200 for his 2024 Chevrolet Silverado after submitting the vehicle inf Offer” My husband received a written Certified Offer from AutoNation for $37,200 for his 2024 Chevrolet Silverado after submitting the vehicle information through their website. The offer was emailed directly to him with an official certificate stating that AutoNation would buy the vehicle whether you purchase a car from them or not. Because of that written offer, my husband drove one hour to the dealership expecting the process to be simple. Instead, after completing their appraisal, they told him they would only offer $35,000. When he referenced the $37,200 certified offer, the dealership claimed they had no record of it in their system and blamed it on their corporate office. Even after he showed them the email with the official offer certificate, they still refused to honor it because it wasn’t showing in their records. So AutoNation can send customers written offers, get them to drive to the dealership, and then simply refuse to honor the offer once they arrive. This resulted in my husband wasting two hours of driving time and gas for an offer that AutoNation themselves issued but would not stand behind. A written “Certified Offer” should mean exactly that. Sending customers documented offers that are not honored when they arrive raises serious concerns about misleading advertising and consumer protection. More

I have always bought my vehicles at CarMax but saw a car we really liked at AutoNation and decided to try the Dealership In Sanford Fl. I bought my vechicle ,with a major warrenty added ,on Saturday August we really liked at AutoNation and decided to try the Dealership In Sanford Fl. I bought my vechicle ,with a major warrenty added ,on Saturday August 2nd. I brought the vehicle back to AutoNation on Tuesday, August 5th with transmission issues. I was told that this repair would be covered by both the AutoNation 90 day warrenty and the major warrenty I had purchased with the car. On August 13th, the car is still being held at the AutoNation Shop to be repaired because both warrenties were not put into the computer system to be used toward the 8k price to repair the vehicle. Do yourself a favor and stick to CarMax. More

Little to no communication between the sales department and finance. There was no input from finance as to where payment was to be sent, which caused a delay in completing the purchase. I reached out to David Seldin and Brittany Steel to purchase a vehicle, however they have been unresponsive. This has been a terrible experience and I'm hoping AutoNation addresses the issue. These peo purchase a vehicle, however they have been unresponsive. This has been a terrible experience and I'm hoping AutoNation addresses the issue. These people do not care at all. They had a chance to turn it around but chose to ignore my attempts to purchase a vehicle from them which is absolutely insane to me. If your job is to sell cars then why wouldn't you want to sell a car. I also reached out to the GM Christian Paul who also ignored my email. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. More
