Our experience at AutoStar of Waynesville was delightfully unexpected. Having been a local for our entire lives, we’ve seen the different hands of change with this in particular dealership, so we delightfully unexpected. Having been a local for our entire lives, we’ve seen the different hands of change with this in particular dealership, so we were skeptical but hopeful. For months, I drove through the lot on my way home each evening and was mostly greeted after dark with an offer to answer any question I might have regarding the vehicles I was curious about. Inevitably knowing our daughter was getting her license soon, I took a chance on a busy Saturday entering the dealership for test drives. Although Ray was busy, he took time to welcome us and take care of our needs. He gave us the key and freedom to test drive on our own and trusted us with creating our own experience. Ray has a gift of quickly understanding how to connect with people and knowing how to give them what they need to have a good experience whether purchasing a vehicle or simply window shopping. That in particular day we came into test drive, I was truly just continuing my window shopping journey, but needed to get behind the wheel of several different vehicles. After I came back from the first test drive of another vehicle and requested to drive the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, Ray looks at me and says “you’re going to fall in love with the Overland. You know that, right?“ I smiled and knew I would too, because I had been obsessing over it since it came onto the lot the very first night. Ray handed us the keys and off we went. After we came back that day, I knew I was in trouble because I loved the vehicle. It has every bell and whistle out family needed and could ever want at this time in our lives. Ray spent the next hour to us talking about our goals and allowed me to drive it for the evening for more time to think about the potential purchase. Needless to say, we sealed the deal the very next weekend. Our customer service experience wasn’t up tight and uncomfortable, we never felt the first ounce of disrespect, and the financial conversations were always honest and direct conversations that we were able to work through very smoothly. Although their intentions are to make sales and provide for their families, they understand and truly invest in the experience of the families that are making the purchases as well. I highly recommend Autostar of Waynesville AND without a shadow of a doubt, the only salesman we will ever use is Ray. More
